Eddie's Point of View

I went to the Off Ramp Cafe to see a rock performance. It was my first week being in Seattle, and I figured Id adventure a bit. I don't know how I got here.. I just walked.

The band playing was called "Mother Love Bone." This was my first time hearing about them.

The show was good though. They seemed like a typical 80s band. Makeup, tight leggings, crazy hair.

Their music was amazing. Different than anything I've ever heard. Crazy loud distorted guitar, a fast tempo, and the vocalist? Holy shit he was good! He looked the craziest though. He had White face paint, red lipstick, purple leggings, a black and white striped tank top, and a purple scarf. The bassist and guitarists seemed more normal, but they had eyeliner, and kinda crazy outfits.

The show was over, so I decided I'd go look around some more. Maybe try to find some cheap place to eat, since I didn't have much money on me.

I was only able to get a few feet down the sidewalk, before it started pouring down. I knew Seattle was known for its rain, but holy fuck.

And of course I didn't have a jacket.

I just put my hands in my pockets so they wouldn't freeze along with the rest of me, and kept walking till I found this tiny diner.

There were only four other people in there.

Four men.

There was a darker man with a short beard, and long black hair. There was a paler man with short blondish, reddish hair, a tall looking guy with short curly brown hair, and another man with long.. gorgeous dark curly hair.

I was starting to pick up on the fashion sense here.

Combat boots with shorts, and jean's, band shirts, flannels, and of course the signature long hair.

Luckily I fit right in. Which made me feel a little better about being away from home.

Not many people had long hair back in Illinois.

Plus I found myself dressed pretty similar to the people here in Seattle, considering I had to buy some new clothes here. I got them at a thrift store. I got a pair of black combat boots, light brown shorts, and a grey "The Who" band tee. They were my favorite rock band.

I liked the style. I felt like myself. I didn't feel like such a stranger here.

The four boys got quiet and turned around to look at me once they heard the little bell ring when I opened the door.

I took a quick glance at them before putting my head down.

Once I heard them chatting again, I looked up.

As soon as I did, I saw that the man with long, dark curly hair was still turned around- looking at me.

He gave me a sly little smile once he saw me look back at him. I shoved my hands in my pockets, and smiled back.

Once I looked away, and headed to the front bar, i saw the man turn around, and sit back down out of the corner of my eye.

I sat up on a stool at the counter, and ordered a coffee, and a small ham sandwich. It cost me three dollars- it was all I could afford.

I heard all the men leave, and was happier then ever to be alone.

After I finished up and paid, I went outside to start walking again. I figured I'd go to the woods and hang out for the night.

I could go back home, but me and my parents aren't on the best terms right now. I found this cool set of woods the first night my "parents" moved me here. That was my escape place. It was a quiet spot where I could be left alone.

I jumped back once I saw a man standing right outside the door.

It was the same man from before. The man that I caught staring at me. He was leaned against the wall, smoking a cigarette.

Like some kind of steryotypical "bad boy".

"Didnt mean to scare you." He said with a chuckle, as he turned to me.

I didn't even answer. I was too fixated on his face to even pay attention.

It was still a bit dim out, and the rain lightened up, so i could see his face pretty clearly.

He had a little bit of facial hair. It framed his thick lips perfectly. He had soft baby blue eyes- just like mine. He was ... gorgeous. I'm surprised there wasn't some pretty girl with big boobs or something attached to his side.

He waved his hand in front of my face. "Man, did I really scare you that badly?"

I shook my head 'no' and pushed my hair out of my face. "N-no. No you didnt. Sorry I just- yea."

"Its alright. What's your name?" He asked, smiling at me.

I smiled back and said, "My names Eddie."

"My names Chris. Sorry for like- staring at you back there."

I chuckled. "Its fine- Chris."

"Hey uh- you need a jacket or something? It's cold and raining and you look like you've already been out here in it for a while. Long enough to get soaked." He asked me, as he started to untie a jacket that he had around his waist.

"N-no I'm fine. Don't worry about it." I told him.

"I can tell you've been walking around for a bit, and I'll take a guess and say you'll be walking some more. Take it." He held the jacket out to me.

"I really dont-" I stopped once he gave me a "Just take it" type of look.

I took the jacket, and hugged him. I don't know what came over me, but I just did it. But he didnt seem to mind, seeing as he hugged me back.

"Thanks Chris."

"No problem Eddie."

I put the jacket on, smiled, and started to walk back into the rain.

"Eddie, wait!" Chris called out.

I turned around, and walked back to him.

"Yes?"

"If you want- I know this seems creepy as fuck but- if you want, I'll buy us lunch Tomorrow?"

"You don't need to."

"I insist. You wanna maybe.. meet me here tomorrow?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "M-maybe."

I was so damn shy.. I didn't know how to handle these types of situations.

"Around one o' clock?" He asked.

"Well see." I told him.

He smiled and said, "Stay safe Ed."

'Ed'.. that was was a new one.

"Always." I told him.

I walked off, and headed to the woods. I went in and laid down in this big open area.

I took the jacket off, and used it as a blanket.

I couldn't help but inhale Chris' scent.

It was some type of cologne, with a natural musk.

I liked it.
