Chapter 7- A Little Trouble Never Hurt

Chris' Point of View

I took Eddie to meet my buddies Andrew Wood, Stone Gossard, and Jeff Ament.

They made up the band Mother Love Bone, along with a couple other guys- but I wasnt too close with them.

Eddie told me about how he saw them in concert the night he first met me- which I thought was pretty cool.

"Stone, Jeff, Andy, this is my boyfriend- Eddie." I told the group of men, as I introduced Eddie.

We had been dating for a few weeks now, so I thought it'd be nice for my friends to meet him.

Andy was like a brother to me. So his opinion was the most important.

Jeff shook Eddie's hand. "Nice to meet you Eddie. You in a band?"

"I used to sing in a band. It was called uh- Bad Radio. But that was a long time ago." Eddie told them.

"Man that sick!" Jeff exclaimed.

Andy pulled Eddie in for a quick hug. Which was expected. Andy was the affectionate "make everyone happy" type- which is what we all adored about him.

Andy pulled back from the hug, and gave Eddie his usual excited smile. "Maybe you could sing with all of us one day!"

"M-maybe one day- yea." He told them.

Stone nodded at Eddie. "Hey man. I'm Stone, nice to meet you."

Eddie gave him a small wave "hello".

"Dont mind Stone Eddie." I leaned into Eddie's ear, and whispered just loud enough for Stone to hear. "He thinks hes better than everyone else."

Stone pushed me, and scoffed. "I do not. At least I'm not obsessed with my self image."

"I am not."

"Yes you are! Mr. 'I'm Chris. I like to make sure my hairs perfect and that my muscles are huge blah blah blah'." Stone said, in a mocking tone.

"At least I dont spend hours on my outfit." I shot at Stone.

"He got you there." Jeff butted in.

"Says the one with the giant stupid hats." Stone told Jeff.

Andy stood in between Stone and Jeff. "You've all got huge egos. Dont worry."

We all laughed.

Jeff and Stone went off to get pizza from a snack bar.

"So Andy-" I started. "How have you been?"

"Man I've been great! Just been writing stuff on my keyboard.. going thrift shopping- the usual."

We all laughed a bit. I nudged Eddie's arm. "Andy's the thrift shopping king."

Eddie chuckled, and shot Andy a smile. And of course, Andy smiled back.

"Andy's like my brother, so you'll see him a lot." I told Eddie.

"Yea so if you break Chris's heart, I'll be very upset." Andy said, jokingly.

"Eddie cant even hurt a fly." I joked. "And neither can you Andrew. You're both way too soft."

"Soft?" Eddie questioned.

"Hes saying that were way too nice, and sweet."  Andy told him.

I nodded in agreement.

I looked over to see Eddie blushing. "O-oh."
