Week 2 of the lord's day. Nice.

I slowly slid myself off my bed groaning looking for my clothes to wear today. I kept going shirt after shirt until I just decided on black jeans and an orange hoodie with my Mickey Mouse tank underneath.

I made my way downstairs seeing my mom getting her bag together. She took a deep breath when she saw me. I rolled my eyes and walked past her to get an apple from the kitchen.

"I'll be in the car.", she opened the front door and it immediately closed as she walked out.

I finished my apple and threw it away. There was only one thing keeping me from not going to church and that was Geoff. I wanted to at least have my fun with him if I'm forced to go to this.

As I was getting lost in my thoughts, I heard the car beep and groaned. I took my phone off the wall plug and made my way outside.

Here we go.

The drive to the church was quiet, as expected. We walked through the opening and of course there was Geoff with his clipboard.

"Good morning Ms. Knight and ... um", he trailed off. "Awsten.", I finished for him. "Oh yeah um Awsten.", I could immediately tell he was uncomfortable just by the way he fidgeting with his pen.

"Good morning Geoff. How's your mom doing with your sister going away for college?", my mom asked and I immediately zoned out looking at my phone.

"She's still adjusting to it, but she's proud of her! She's just a little worried about her.", Geoff responded.

"Well I am I would be too. Just know if your mom needs anything we're here for her. If you would like you can come over for dinner!", that immediately peaked my interest. Geoff could tell too because he immediately looked at me. I just smiled innocently.

"Um... I'll tell her. Thank you.", he said not breaking eye contact with me making me smirk causing him to quickly look down.

"Of course! We'll be waiting! Well we have to go take our seats so we'll talk later.", my mom left leaving Geoff and I alone.

"I'll see you around.", I winked leaving him following the trail my mom left.
