Chapter 13 Lovers Quarrel

" Ok, take a 15 minutes break everyone!"

        The director shouted as everyone in the studio dispersed to take their respective breaks. A soft voice called out to Zen as he was walking towards his dressing room.

" Zen! How are you?"

Zen turned his head to see who's calling him. It was his co star in Tendelion, she was a rising star in musicals and a crowd favorite. A talented girl with a pretty face were the easiest way to describe her.

" Ahh, Dae-un! I'm fine, thanks for asking. Is there something you need from me?"

He smiled politely, silently hoping that this conversation will not take long. He's planning to call (Y/N) as she's currently online chatting with the RFA members, it signifies that she's currently taking a break and he definitely would not let it pass. Hearing her voice during breaks made him want to work harder on his rehearsals.

"No, not really. I- I just wanted to ask after the incident. I was worried about you."

She shyly told him as she looked sideways.

" Thanks for worrying, but I'm fine really. More than fine actually, I feel great. Sorry, I gotta go, have to call my girl."

Zen excused himself looking apologetic. He was happy that his workmates are worried about him. The director and fellow actors voiced out their concerns as these people know him better than those random haters. Dialing her number, he was giddy from excitement. It's like he was back to pubescent years. He did not notice that the girl who was shyly smiling earlier has turned to someone else.

She stomped her feet as she walks away from where her conversation with Zen ended. She was furious, yes, jealous? Definitely. Zen deliberately showed his girlfriend who was a complete unknown, to the public in a press conference during the echo girl fiasco, it broke her heart to thousand pieces. She couldn't believe it as she was talking to Zen a week before the press conference and he was still single. That was why she gave him hints about her being single and subtly telling him a place she wanted to visit.

She works hard to impress Zen. Ever since she saw him at the agency four years ago she had fallen in love with him, it was when he smiled kindly to her and talked to her, encouraging her to pursue her dream. Ever since then, he became her dreams. She's angry at Echo girl for tarnishing his reputation but more so for trying to own Zen.
She would had relented her love for him if a rich or famous celebrity became Zen's girlfriend, but for her, his current girlfriend was a complete nobody.

" ehhhh? You're coming? Really? But how about your work? What? I'll finish at around noon. Woow! Don't get me wrong babe, I'm happy you'll drop by. Alright, see you then."

     The phone beeps, the call ended. His heart was racing madly, he checked his appearance in the mirror, handsome he told himself. This was the first time someone's going to bring him lunch over work and to top it off it's his girlfriend. His smile broadened from anticipation. Rehearsal resumed till noon.

           Zen was fondling his phone in his pocket, patiently waiting for the director to finish his instructions. As the director dismissed the actors, a little commotion was overheard from the crew who were busy with their own jobs earlier. Heads turned as a lady wearing a gray sweatpants, a white loose t-shirt, a pair of sneakers, hair in a messy bun and wearing a circle pair of eyeglasses, walks in asking where she can find Zen. In their heads she's simple but beautiful enough for them to swoon. She was directed to Zen's dressing room, she thank the guy who gave her direction, almost skipping from excitement at seeing her boyfriend.

She stopped on her track when she heard a female voice inside Zen's room, but could not make out their conversation. Slamming the door open, they were all surprise from the sudden outburst.  What she saw, was a girl leaning close to Zen's soaked T-shirt. She looked around trying to be logical, but fury and jealousy were wildly screaming inside her. It was Zen who talked first, wanting to clear things up.

" Baby, it's not what you think. Dae-un here accidentally splashed a coffee on me and was trying to dry it but I …."

Dae-un cut Zen off mid-sentence, she straightened herself and putting her most innocent smile she said.

" That is true, I was consulting Zen about my acting if I did it correctly, so I bought him a coffee as a way of saying thanks in advance but I ended up splashing it to him. I'm a bit clumsy."

Zen's eyes were pleading to (Y/N). She realized what's happening. She may not be an actress but she won't lose. She also smiled sweetly to Dae-un.

"Oh, so that was what happened."

(Y/N) step forward towards Zen who has already distanced himself from Dae-un. She grabbed the bottom of his shirt and lifted it a little upward exposing his abs, she then slightly traced it with her fingers. She looked up to Zen seductively without turning her head to where Dae-un was standing, she said.

" Dae-un right? I'm (Y/N) by the way, I'm Zen's girlfriend. You don't have to worry about him now, I'll dry him up in no time. So can you please leave?"

Dae-un gasps at her boldness. She could no longer refute as she saw Zen who was now focused solely on his girlfriend. She started running for the door, but before she could leave the room (Y/N) called out to her.

" Please lock the door!"

Out of her sight, (Y/N)'s seductive gaze was replaced by a pained expression. Zen, felt like a bucket of ice was splashed on his face when she saw her expression. He wanted to apologize and embraced her but this time she stopped him.

" Don't touch me."

Abruptly leaving Zen who was making all sorts of facial expression. She knows that it's a bit unfair to Zen, but she's just a maiden in love that could not control her emotions.

Zen could not believe his ears, what made it worse was the warning of Jinyun keeps on replaying on his mind, " avoid being intimate with other girls even if its work when she's around, it may trigger something in her." His shoulders sagged.

" What have I just done?"

He thought what if it triggered her trauma?What if she no longer feel safe in his touch but rather finds it repulsive. He could not bear the thought of it. He pulled himself together and looked for his girlfriend who was now nowhere to be found.
