The next morning King drank 3 cups of coffee to energize him for the big day ahead, because he slept little last night while planning the festivities to cheer Diane up from her break up. He also wanted to show her how much she meant to him and how serious he was about her.

Ban saw the fairy drinking his coffee and said, "Whoa there, that's a lot of caffeine for a little guy like you. Better take it easy, big brother. Heh heh..." King made an angry face and replied, "Enough, Ban. Today is too important to put up with your crap. This day can make or break it for me in proving to Diane that I will always be here for her." Ban pat king on the back and zipped his mouth from there on, secretly hopeful that his comrade would succeed in his mission and end up with the girl of his dreams.

Elaine came down next and said to her brother, "Harlequin, I know you have an extravagant plan, but Diane is hurting right now. She is sensitive and vulnerable, take care of her and protect her heart." King winced a bit and responded, "Of course I will, Elaine." King decided that he could no longer wait and knocked on Elizabeth's bedroom door where Diane had spent the night. *Knock Knock* "Excuse me, Diane. Can you come out to talk? It's me.. Harlequin."

Suddenly the door flew open, and out walked Elizabeth who told him to come in and talk to Diane. When the fairy saw Diane sitting in the bed with a handkerchief in her hand and swollen eyes, his heart stung. He was happy that Diane was no longer with Howzer and that she had feelings for him, but was devastated to see Diane hurting. "Oh, Harlequin. I am sorry you are seeing my like this right now. I am sure you overheard that Howzer and I broke up...What do you need to talk to me about?"

King moved to the side of the bed and sat next to her nervously as he said, "Diane, you are always beautiful to me, and you don't owe me any apologies. I want to be here for you and to brighten your day. I understand if you need to rest, but if you'd like...I have planned a day for us to get our minds off of things." Diane looked into his eyes and wanted to say no, that it was too soon to spend time with King while she was trying to figure her feelings out, but her heart leapt at the suggestion with a "Yes".

"Thank you, Diane. Let's leave here in an hour. It is a bit of a journey away, so all you need to pack is a warm sweater in case it gets cold later tonight when we return home. I have packed everything else we will need.", said King. Then, when noon hit the two left for their day out.

Diane asked King, "So, where are you taking us?" To which he replied, "It is a surprise, Diane... I don't want to spoil it for you, but the walk is about an hour away." Once they were close to the spot, King asked Diane if he could put a blind fold on her, and she agreed reluctantly.

"Okay, Diane. You can open your eyes now!", said King with excitement. When the serpent sin took off her blind fold she was amazed to see they were back at the waterfall area where they first met each other when Diane had saved his life. She started to cry saying, "Is this really... our old home king?" "Yes, Diane. I searched for it every time I returned home from working in the fairy king's forrest. When I found it again it flooded me with memories of our past, and I knew I wanted to show you it some day." Diane ran and hugged King, wiping her tears on his shoulder as she bent down. "This is beautiful, Harlequin. I have had dreams of this place ever since my memory returned. The waterfall, the river, and the cave that we called home."

"Me too, Diane. I packed a special picnic for us to eat by the water, are you hungry?", said the fairy with curiosity. "Yes, I am starving from that long walk! I hope you packed something tasty.", with a giggle that showed her sunny smile again. King pulled out food that he packed that were nostalgic for them, along with a few new treats that they both enjoyed. "Diane, here I have packed a grilled pork sandwich for you and fruit salad for me. I also cooked some homemade pheasant soup, like our old hunter friend used to share with us. Then after we eat our meal, we have some special dragonberry cheesecake that Elaine helped me with and a bottle of Vanya Champagne gifted from the Captain."
