🌸Chapter 13🌸

Mistakes are inevitable....

    

    Everything went wrong!.

    I just wanted to show my classmates but the news got to other departments and soon photocopies of the letter was made and pasted around the school. Beneath the letters were ill words

"Slut called Alice, dating two best friends. She just needs money".

     It was already 5pm, teachers had seen the letters and Alice was in the principal's office. I bent my head in shame, I was standing close to one of the posters when I heard someone laugh rudely behind me. I turned and met Victoria rolling a piece of her loosed hair in her left index finger.

     "I did well" She congratulated herself "Though it was really stressful photocopying those letters and getting some peeps paste it for me" She confessed without any remorse.

      I felt the rush of adrenaline "You did this?!" I yelled "You are impossible, how can you be so wicked and selfish? Do you know the consequences of your wicked conspiracy?" That attracted a crowd as everyone had gathered to watch us.

      Someone laughed, that's when I noticed Bose had been standing beside Victoria all along. I didn't see Miss goody goody, Linda. I wonder where she was at a time like this.

      "You are the impossible one. Fake friend!" Bose fired at me while Victoria folded her arms over her chest.

     The truth hurts a lot, if I hadn't been so jealous I wouldn't have stolen those letters talk less of showing them to my classmates with the motive of disgracing her. I noticed everyone was murmuring.

       "You think we don't know your role behind those letters" Bose continued while Victoria had an evil smirk on her face. I wanted her to stop talking. Everyone knew who I was and how religious I am.

     "You revealed those letters to your classmates to disgrace Alice whom you call your friend. Even though she was such a bitch couldn't you hide it for her as a good friend. But no way, you wanted to ridicule her because she is better than you in beauty and intelligence. Fat pig!" That got everyone laughing while some were murmuring. Someone from the crowd shouted.

"Pastor daughter my foot! Wicked friend!"

     Bose called me fat, that broke me into pieces, they were calling me names. I knew I behaved badly, I'm a bad person. Victoria was still talking and hurling abusive words at me but I didn't hear any of them as I imagined what Alice will be going through in the principal office.

     What if she was expelled?

     I shook my head "It's not possible. It can't be, or is it?" I mumbled and faced the ground in shame then someone stood in front of me.
  
      Every one had gone silent like they were expecting something bad to happen to me, even Victoria and Bose were now standing at my left in silence. I looked up slowly and met him staring at me in disgust.

Opeyemi.

     I darted a sad look at Charles who stood beside Opeyemi looking lost and confused. He made a swift turn and ran in the direction of the principal's office. Victoria stamped her foot in annoyance knowing fully well where Charles was heading to. They must have heard Bose talking.
