Some months later......

I dragged my luggage into the apartment while Eniola followed me with a brown paper box in her hands.

"Wow! I love it already" I exclaimed looking around the spacious living room.

"Wait till you see the kitchen" I heard Eniola say excitedly causing me to look at her. She dropped the box on the tiled floor. Mum and Madam Monique walked in carrying a big bed into the bedroom at a corner.

"Don't you think this apartment is too much for just both of us?. I mean, we are just freshmen in UNILAG (University of Lagos)".

"I don't wish to live in discomfort" Eniola said admiring the plasma TV hung on the wall in the living room.

My driver carried in some utensils to the kitchen which made me curious.

I really want to know how the kitchen looks.

I followed him into the kitchen and I was amazed by the kitchen appliances I saw.

An electric cooker, a wash basin, some plates and food stuffs in the cupboard and a flower tiled floor and walls. I walked into the bedroom. It was also spacious, our huge bed was in one corner then a reading table, an extension socket, a bathroom was also in the room. I walked back to the living room which had 4 sofa chairs, a center table, a plasma TV, a decoder and a DVD player with two speakers at each sides.

The curtains were white and pink just the perfect color. It was already 6pm. Madam Monique hugged Eniola while mum told me to be a good girl and all that mother sermon good talks. As soon as they left, Eniola jumped in excitement.

"I can't believe we are undergraduates already!" She squealed.

I laughed "Me too. Campus girls, goodbye to secondary school, uniforms and assembly bells".

Eniola danced smiling "I was extremely happy when dad said we could rent an apartment close to school. I mean, we must experience campus life" She smiled at me "Too bad, Opeyemi decided to still choose UNIABUJA (University of Abuja )".

My grandparents and Eniola's parents were strongly against our decision to study in UNIABUJA. They wanted us to study at UNILAG, we agreed to their decision with the condition that we rent an apartment close to school.

Opeyemi and Charles didn't change their decision though, they both got admitted into UNIABUJA to study Fine art and Microbiology respectively.

Eniola and I got admitted into UNILAG to study Entrepreneurial studies and Accountancy respectively.

"Thinking about Charles again?" Eniola said bringing me back to earth.

I gave her a knowing smile.

"Silly girl. No boys drama".

I nod "Yes, I remember" I sat on a sofa chair while she locked the door and joined me on the chair.

"Rule number one; Studies first

Rule number two; Night reading always

Rule number three; No secrets please. I can't stand secrets".

I chuckled and nod.
