      💎Alice's POV💎

The hall looked so beautiful and vivacious. Some paintings were hung on the walls, I knew they were Opeyemi"s paintings, he was bragging endlessly yesterday about the principal approving some of his paintings. She even bought a few for a handsome payment. I was clad in a red and white dress. Grandma bought it for me yesterday.

Chairs of different colors were arranged in rows and columns in the hall, then a long table was placed in front of the hall facing the stage with a gold and red linen, then white flower vases filled with beautiful flowers. Some bottle water were placed on the table.

It was a really wonderful sight. I saw Eniola, Charles and Opeyemi tying a ribbon. The students in the hall were engaged in one decorating activity or the other, while some teachers carefully examined them. I walked over to my friends.

"Alice" Eniola called out when she saw me. She was obviously over excited.

      "Hi"

"You came right in time" She handed me a red ribbon and scissors "Start rolling it".

I did as I was told, trying hard to concentrate on what I was doing and pretending to be less aware of Charles unusual gaze on me.

After we were done with the decorations, Opeyemi pulled out a frame from his bag and handed it over to me. I was surprised to see my image, it looked exactly like me. I must admit he is a good artist.

"Thank you, I will tell my grandpa to pay you for this" I said feeling grateful.

"No need for that. It's a gift from me" He said smiling.

"Really?" I asked looking at Eniola. She smiled at me and gave me a nod "Thank you, I really appreciate it".

Opeyemi cleared his throat "I just gave you cause you are Charles'.....hmmm".

"You are stupid" Charles said jokingly while Opeyemi pretended to be looking elsewhere. Soon Opeyemi and Eniola were chatting and walking outside the hall leaving Charles and I alone. Charles whispered to meet him at the field. He walked away quickly.

I wondered what he wanted to say, I held the frame protectively and admired it once more. I noticed someone presence so I looked up and saw Emelda 😒.

I swallowed and focused on my frame. I don't have anything to say to her. She offended me greatly by accusing me of stealing her purse whereas Victoria had conspired with her. Though, I've forgiven her and I hold no grudges but it's really hard to forget people's actions.

"Alice" I heard her say "I know you are angry with me".

I looked at her "For what?"

"That theft scenario" She replied shyly.

"I've forgotten about that already. Eniola told me you had planned it all with Victoria. I know the whole story but I believe it's all in the past now. I don't have any right to hold grudges" I said and tried to walk away but she stopped me.

"I still have to apologize. I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have acted that way".

"Why did you do it?' I asked her, knitting my eyebrows in a confused way.

Even though I've forgiven her. I Still want to know her reasons for her actions.
