Chapter 1

Four leaf clover

“Stop it, that hurts! Let me go! Mom, dad! “ Lisa cried as she tries to stop the two nurses wrapping rope like clothes all around her body, her hands and feet are tied on each corners of her bed

Her parents then felt extremely sad at the sight of their poor daughter and went to each side of the bed, trying to calm their crying daughter down.

“Shh Lisa it’s okay” Lisa’s mom caressed her hair, Lisa just looked away and tries to stop her tears.  She feels she’s like a prisoner who can’t even move in her own bed, it really pissed her a lot, she wanted to play with Jennie today but she can’t.

“It seems really cruel but if she moves, she might pull the catheter and bleed” explained the doctor who went to her parents

Marco and Carol can’t do anything but to only nod and follow the doctor’s order, it freaking hurts them a lot seeing their daughter tied in her bed just to stay still.

“Let me go! I know I can stay still..” cried the young Lisa

Carol bent down and kissed her daughter’s head “I know you can Lisa,  you’re our good girl”

“But I have to peeeeee”

“You’re wearing diapers so just pee in there baby” said her mother

“I don’t want it! You try it mom, pee in a diaper like a baby and have someone to change it!” she shouted angry

Her mother beside her tried her best to stop her tears and concealed it by laughing, she caresses her daughter’s head again “You’re right, you’re not a baby anymore..”

Jennie’s dad who were watching the whole scene silently went out of the room, he slowly closed the door with his daughter Jennie glaring on him in front of the room

He knew she saw everything

“I hate you!” Jennie yelled angry and walk out, she’s mad at her own father for making Lisa suffer like that, she knew in her mind as she carries a medical book for kids that doctors don’t treat their patients in a way like that. She hated how her father treated Lisa

Speaking of Lisa, she’s still tied on her bed, tears are on the side of her eyes as she tried her best not to pee in her shorts despite knowing she wore a diaper. She really wanted to prove her parents she’s not a baby anymore but she lost,  she cried silently when she finally peed.

She failed, her arms and feet got tired. She wondered why she has to go into this kind of process, she’s still young. She only wants to play with her older friend Jennie

She looked away from her mother as she felt so embarrassed

“I peed, please change me” she said

Her mother nodded her head and stood up. She opened the drawer on the bed table to get a diaper when Lisa suddenly spoke

“I’m sorry mom”

And with that, her mom burst into tears.

The day after, Jennie went to the hospital’s park to look for a certain four leaf clover. She hated that her father is useless and can’t do anything about Lisa’s condition. She found her father a bad guy for hurting her friend like that

She just lost her mom last year because of her father who did not able to save her. She don’t want that to happen again now that she found a new friend

She just really hopes she can find just one four leaf clover and wished she can save Lisa’s life.

“Nini!” Lisa shouted as she finally saw her friend today

Jennie stopped on finding on the wide grass and stared at her friend walking slowly towards her

“Lisa? You okay now?”

“Hmm! As long as I don’t run” Lisa smiled so wide “What are you doing?”

“Can’t you tell?” Jennie said as she continued her doing “I am looking for a four leaf clover and I will make a wish. Mom said it will definitely come true”

“I never heard of that”

“Well I have” the older one rolled her eyes

The younger one just hummed and thereafter joined in looking for a four leaf clover beside her friend “Nini, when you find one, what will you wish?” she asked

“I don’t know yet” Jennie lied, she don’t want Lisa to know what she wishes for. She only want to keep it to herself for she still not sure if Lisa likes her back the way she does..

“But why are you looking anyway?”

Jennie glared at the younger one again “Oh shut up. I was bored because you couldn’t play. Are you still wearing diapers?” she teased

Lisa just pouted, making her other friend chuckled so loud. Lisa upon hearing Jennie laughed like that , made her smile despite with Jennie teasing her like that

“Neh Nini, if I can also find a four leaf clover, can I wish something too?”

“What will you wish for?”

Lisa smiled “To become an astronaut when I grow up

“An astronaut?” Jennie asked laughing, she find Lisa’s wish weird and silly

She nodded “Yes! And Nini..”

“Hmm?"

“Let’s get married” Lisa said that made Jennie stop, her sudden confession made her looked at Lisa now who’s smiling so wide

“That is my dream. To become an astronaut and marry Nini unnie, then I will work and I will have so much fun when I will go home! We will be both happy!”

Jennie just looked away as she suddenly felt sad, she knew that Lisa’s wish is somewhat-

Impossible.

Lisa on the other hand then felt proud upon seeing Jennie speechless in the air, she continued looking for a four leaf clover until finally and miraculously

She found one

“Ah! Nini I found one!”

Jennie gasped and pushes Lisa away. She bent down as she cried “Please God of the four leaf clover! Save Lisa! Please don’t kill Lisa! Please let us be together! Please cure her disease! Please! Please!”

Lisa was left in shock while only watching Jennie cried “Please! Please! Please!” repeatedly in front of the leaf

She started panicking when Jennie already burst in tears and cried so loud now

“Nini!” she yelled and went to Jennie’s front

But that didn’t stop Jennie on crying, instead she cried even louder.

Lisa in her young mind still don’t know the ways to stop her friend from crying

But her young heart knows how to

She kissed Jennie on the lips.
