The Dare That Started it All (1D/5SOS fanfiction)

Chapter 23

Liam dials the number of the person he had in mind slowly and carfully not to mess it up; the person Liam was calling picks up the phone in a mere two rings.

“Hey, what’s up?” Liam asks nervously.

“Not much, what do you need,” the man asks annoyed.

“We may or may not need a ride back home,” Liam replies with a slight chuckle.

“Who is we?” the man asks with a slight huff.

“Me, the boys and the lads from 5 Seconds of Summer,” Liam says looking at the girls who are holding their arms like ‘what about us?’

“Ok, where are you?” the man asks.

“Nandos,” Liam mumbles and the man laughs slightly.

“No seriously where are you?” the man says joking around.

“We are seriously at Nandos,” Liam says annoyed.

“I figured, I was messing with you,” the man responds with another chuckle.

“So how long until you get here?” Liam asks looking at everyone who’s violently shaking.

“Eh, ten maybe fifteen minutes,” the man responds.

“Ok, see you then,” Liam says and then hangs up the phone.

“So who did you call?” Niall asks with curiosity building in his body.

“Well…” Liam begins to say but trails off.

“Don’t tell me you did,” Louis says giving Liam an evil glare.

“Who are you thinking of?” Liam asks Louis.

“Simon,” Louis replies bluntly.

All Liam does is slowly nod his head up and down.

“Please tell me you’re joking. He’s going to kill us if he sees us with the girls,” Harry says with his eyes about to come out of his head.

“I wish I was kidding,” Liam replies looking down at his feet.

“How did you know who I called so quickly?” Liam asks Louis filled with curiosity.

“I can always tell, you speak to him quietly and you roll your eyes a lot,” Louis replies confidently.

“Oh, ok,” Liam replies and then silence engulfs all are everyone.

“Who else would I have called?” Liam says trying to break the silence.

“I don’t know, maybe Jen?! She probably would have kept it a secret and never told Simon,” Zayn says rubbing the temples on his head.

“To late now,” Liam mumbles.

“So what’s your plan? What are we going to do when he shows up and sees the girls since you have this whole thing planned out,” Zayn snaps.

“I have no idea,” Liam says bowing his head in shame.

Right as Simon had told them he would pick them up within ten to fifteen minutes he did; it only took him twelve minutes to find where they were. I mean it wasn’t hard, it was a huge mass of people all together in one area where he was expecting people to be. The black van with tinted windows rolled up next to the mass of people.

“You guys are morons, why wouldn’t you stay in the restaurant? You could have caught a cold,” Simon yells at them.

“It’s a long story,” Liam says as the boys hide the girls behind them.

“Well then you will have to explain it on the way back to the hotel,” Simon replies turning to the front of the car.

The girls sneak into the back seat with the boys, the only thing separating them from Simon is a little window that’s tinted and could be opened at any moment. 

“So what happened?” Simon asks sliding the little window open the hear them.

“Well, erm,” Liam says beginning to stutter.

“We may or may not have had a food fight with each other,” Louis says trying to cover up Liam’s stuttering.

“Really, why would you guys do that?” Simon asks as he takes a sharp turn right.

“Eh, the food wasn’t the best,” Niall says.

And then Simon digs the brake of the car into the bottom of the car floor and looks at Niall with his eyes almost falling out of their sockets. The momentum of the brakes causes everyone to fly forward a few inches.

“Niall didn’t like Nandos? Is he sick? Is the world ending?” Simon asks slightly pressing on the gas pedal.

“It tasted like it was a day old,” Niall says shrugging his shoulders.

“Eh, that makes sense now,” Simon replies focusing on the road.

“So why did they kick you out?” Simon asks.

“Well, Nandos is carpeted and they said it’ll take forever to clean it up and then they kicked us out,” Louis explains.

“Aka, I’m paying to clean up that mess,” Simon asks annoying.

All the boys say yes in sync causing silence to be the only thing for the rest of the car ride.

~~10 minutes later~~

“We’re here,” Simon says and opens the door.

All the boys do is stand there, not knowing what to do next.

“Come on boys, you need to get some sleep. Let’s go,” Simon says trying to coax the frozen boys out of the car.

“Its fine, you can leave without us. We can make it in the hotel without you,” Liam says trying to get Simon to leave.

“Nah, I’m going to bring you in, you don’t have any body guards with you,” Simon says starting to get suspicious of whatever is happening.

“Simon, it’s really fine, I know karate,” Ashton says and then waves his arms around pretending to be a ninja.

“Yeah, no. I’m not leaving until you come with me,” Simon says sternly crossing his arms.

All the boys surrender to Simon’s command after a mere five minutes, only because of the cold air nipping at their noses from the open door. All of the boys exit the car and then just as Ashton gets out of the car Simon realizes what the boys were hiding; the girls.

Author’s note: Any ideas on how Simon will react? I love to hear what you guys are thinking so please comment ^_^ Oh yeah, did it surprise people that Liam called Simon?
