Chapter 29

“What are we going to say when we get there?” Jessie asks looking at the other girls.

“Ummm, you know what, I have no idea,” Gianna responds looking around at the other girls.

“Well we could say we are here with the nine boys that just came in. the cop car didn’t have enough room,” Nanci suggests.

“Ok, yeah that will do,” Jessie responds.

“So how much longer until we are there?” Lexi asks.

“Ummm, maybe like a minute,” Sofía responds looking around for the police station.

“Is that it?” Alyssa asks pointing to a building.

“Yeah it is,” Sofía says swerving into the parking lot.

“Next time you do that you should really warn us,” Alyssa whines.

“Well it’s time to go in and see what’s up with the boys,” Heather says snapping everyone back into the main reason why they are there.

“Alright, let’s go then!” Alyssa yells and walks into the police station.

“What do you ladies need?” a police officer asks looking at the girls.

“Ummm, we are with the nine guys that just came in, there wasn’t enough room in the cop car,” Elizabeth explains quietly.

“Oh you’re with those boys, alright. Give me a minute,” the police officer says and then walks to the back of the little police station.

“Ok, well you guys are going to have to be questioned because you were there,” the police officer says coming back.

Niall looks at his phone signaling for Elizabeth to look at hers. Elizabeth looks her phone and reads the text ‘don’t say anything to them’ Elizabeth goes over to Jessie and shows her the text she nods her head because she read it.

“What are you showing her?” the police officer asks looking at Elizabeth.

“Just something my mom texted me,” Elizabeth lies.

“Yeah, sure,” the police officer says looking at her suspiciously.

“Well I had to tell her I was going to be home late. Geez. How about you girls tell your moms that were are going to be late to,” Elizabeth says and looks at the girls.

“Yeah I probably should,” Gianna says reading the text that Elizabeth had sent her.

“Well you are going to be the first person I question,” the police officer says and takes Elizabeth by the arm.

“Bye guys.” Elizabeth says with a smile.

“So what were you doing at Nandos with these guys?” the police officer asks.

Elizabeth sits there not making a sound, not even moving an inch.

“You aren’t going to tell me anything, are you?” the police officer asks after asking about three questions.

“You are correct,” Elizabeth replies and smiles as the police officer leads her out of the questioning room.

The police officer takes each girl back asking one question “Are you going to answer anything I will ask you?” and each girl either shakes their head no or they tell him that they won’t speak a word.
