True Colors

Chapter 5

When they burst through the door, Keira was sitting up, breathing heavily, with tear streaming down her face.

Nico keeled by her bedside and she wrapped her arms around his neck and barried her face in his shoulder.

Will looked outside, where it began to rain as she cried. 'I thought it was just sunny...' He thought.

Nico rubbed her back. "I'm sure it was just a bad nightmare."

Keira shook her head. "Something. . . something was coming after me, it said that I failed them and everything went black and I got scared."

"Its time," Chiron said in the doorway.

Keira lifted her head up and let go of Nico. "You are being me to her aren't you?"

Nico nodded. So she put her sandals on and walked to the front room of the big house. With the boy's behind her, Will looked outside the window again and it was no longer raining.

A helicopter was buzzing in the distance. A few minutes later, Rachel Elizabeth Dare came running through the door.

Chiron said, "she needs room." So, Nico and Will backed away from Rachel and Keira.

Rachel held out her hands and as soon as Keira held them, mist swirled around them.

Rachel's eyes glowed serphant green. And when she spoke, her voice was tripled, so it sounded like three Rachels talking at once.

[C]"The son of death

[C]shall preserve a soul,

[C]to help the daughter of Zeus,

[C]to her goal,

[C]in faith and hate of her destiny,

[C]shall the truth come forward,

[C]in nessiate."

As Rachel said the last words, she fell backwards, but Nico and Will cought her and helped her sit in a chair.

Nico turned to Keira. "How do you feel?"

Keira rubbed her forehead. "I think I have to.... I don't even know! Do we have to leave? What does this all mean? Is the world going to end of something? I-I..."

"Woah, slow down Keira. I know this is new and weird for you, but we will discuss this later, as for right now, lets go outside." Nico said, reassuring her.

Will looked at Nico. "Um, don't we have to head out for lunch, its almost 2 o'clock."

Nico looked surprised. "Already?!"

Rachel stood up. "Well, when I got here it was almost 1 o'clock."

Keira grabbed Will's hand and was practically pulling him out the door. "Well, what are we waiting for?"

As she was pulling Will out the door, she slipped on water that was on the stairs, let go of Will's hand, and fell backwards. Harley happened to be walking by at that moment and she landed on him.

Keira blushed. "I-Im so sorry." She got up and offered her hand to him.

Harley laughed and took her hand as she helped him up. "No problem. Im Harley, by the way, you must be new here."

"I came yesterday. Im Keira," Keira said, brushing herself off.

Harley smiled. "Well nice to meet you Keira, I'll see you around some other time." He waved goodbye and ran off.

Keira turned around to see Rachel smirking, Nico grinning evily, and Will looking like he was about to explode.

"Ohhhhh, someone's got a CRUSH!!!!" Rachel teased. Keira went red.

Nico stated seriously at her. "Get a boyfriend, and I will kill him."

Keira put her hand on her chest and gasped. "That's messed up! You have a boyfriend and I'm not killing him!"

Nico leaned down closer to Keira to where they were looking eye to eye.

"Touch my man's pretty face and I will haunt your SOUL!"

Will looked flattered. "Ohhh, I have a pretty face?"

Before Nico could answer, Rachel jumps in. "Listen, I'm hungry, I'm sure you guys are too, so, lets go eat!"
