True Colors

Keira tried to calm down. "Sorry. . ." She still laughs. "It's just, you punned my last name."

"I did?" Harley said, raising his eyebrow.

"Yeah, when you said 'be graceful' and Grace is my last name." Keira said.

Harley's face lit up, he understood now, "ohhhhh, I get it. It is funny. At first, I was so confused."

Keira smiled again.

"So, if your ready we can play volleyball" Harley said, nodding his head over to the people waiting.

Keira looked nervously between the volleyball net and Harley.

"You don't know how to play, do you?"

Keira shook her head, Harley waved her off. "Its ok. I can teach you"

Keira smiled and said, "something tells me, this is about to get difficult."

Harley laughed. "No worries, you're on my team."

"Who else?" Keira said, looking at the people walking around.

And it was two kids from the Ares cabin on the other side of the net. You know how they are, very competitive.

"We got this," said Harley reassuringly to Keira.

Finally, the game began. Harley had demonstrated to Keira how to serve, and when she tried, it went straight in the air and landed in the water.

She turned to Harley, and shrugged. So, he handed her another ball, and this time it went over the net.

I guess, the first volleyball came back for revenge because it shot out of the water and hit Keira in the back of the head. Harley's eyes widened.

Keira looked up at the last minute to see the other volleyball coming at her and it smacked her forehead so hard, she fell flat on her back.

A muffled laugh came from the water.

"Ohhh, that had to hurt." Harley said, looking over at her.

Keira looked dazed at him. "Dis I die or something?"

Harley shook his head. "No, but the way you got attacked, I felt awful."

He grabbed both Keira's hands and helped her up. "You good now?"

Keira nodded. "I think so."

So, Harley gave a thumbs up to the other team, and the game continued.

The rest of the game was pretty good, even though Keira kept missing the ball and every time Harley laughed, she waould playfully push him.

It wasn't until the last round, when Keira finally hit the volleyball over the net, and an incident happened.

So, what had happened was that she had to jump up to smack the ball over the net, and when she was landing, Harley was right behind her, and so, basically, their faces collided into each other.

Causing Keira to accidentally kiss him and when Harley's eyes widened, she didn't know what to say except, "we won?"

Harley backed away. "Um.... I'll be back." And he ran off. He was embarrassed. Not to mention this was his first kiss ever, and Keira's too.

Keira just stood there. She put her hands on her head. She didn't understand what she did.

Annabeth had seen Keira and called her name.

She turned around in time for Annabeth to see her electric blue eyes turn hazel, like how they were when she first arrived.
