Stage 9
8:30 pm
enjoy 20 minutes of peacefulness

Once all of his friends left, both of you were very tired. He, from bantering with his mates for hours, and you from pretending that you had nothing to hide. Nobody in the police force knew your face so it wasn't the fear of recognition, but rather the amount of added pressure. No criminal loves the cops. Lucky for you, Jungkook hadn't graduated yet so that statement held true.

Jungkookie pulled you off the couch where you were sitting, his eyes tired but his lips still smiling. You groaned, not wanting to move.

"Nooooo, let me sleep." You murmured the words, not caring if he understood you.

"I wanna talk to you, (Y/N). Come on, we can talk in bed." You perked up at the mention of a bed and he led you into his room. Both of you collapsed into the dark sheets, too innocent to think twice about the situation and  too tired to try anything anyways.

One of his arms was draped across your waist and the other was under your head. You looked up at him, admiring the way his eyes reflected the evening light.

"What do you wanna talk about?" You asked.

"I don't care, I just wanna fall asleep to your voice." You laughed as he pulled you closer and closed his lovely eyes.

"Okay, I think I can grant that wish." You began to feel a bit more awake. "Should I tell you something about me?" He nodded sleepily.

"Alright. I...I grew up with my dad. He was my only real family. I relied on him for anything and everything. I really loved him, but uh.. he's not around anymore. He died a few years ago, so now I'm on my own. I miss him a lot."

Tears stung your eyes but you didn't let them flow over. You hardly ever spoke about him because it pained you so much. His name was Mun Jaewon. He knew you better then anyone in the world and loosing him was like loosing a piece of yourself.

Jungkook shifted to look at you. "I'm really sorry you had to go through that." You offered him a small smile, knowing there wasn't a thing either of you could say to make it better. "I miss my brother." He said quietly.

"What's his name?" You prodded tentatively, genuinely curious.

"Min Yoongi."

You almost stopped breathing. Thankfully, Jungkook didn't notice and continued to speak.

"You remember I said he is gang affiliated? I want to be the one to catch him and bring him in someday, just so I can make sure nobody hurts him. Policemen are brutal with gang members."

It was then that you realised that how glad you were that you didn't kill Jungkook that first day. He was so determined that Yoongi wouldn't be harmed. He was a good man, he just wanted the best for everyone. Even his dear brother, who left him for a life of crime. Even you.

He yawned before remembering one more thing he wanted to say. "Oh (Y/N)...since I'm graduating the police academy soon, there's a graduation dinner tomorrow. All of Seoul's most important law enforcement will be there. You'll come, won't you?"

However terrifying the prospect was, you just couldn't say no to the boy.

"I'll be there."

He nodded and promptly fell asleep, leaving you to figure out how you, the most wanted criminal in South Korea, were gonna waltz into a room full of the greatest policemen in Seoul.
