                             9 Months Later
I opened my eyes to see a white dimly lit room full of beeping machines that I was hooked up to. I looked over to see Lisa sitting in a chair beside the bed I was in, flipping through a fashion magazine. I lifted my hand to my head, it was throbbing. When I moved Lisa jumped up out of the chair.
"Grace!" She yelled
"Owww," I closed my eyes rubbing my temples. Her voice echoed through my head.
"Sorry," she whispered, "I'm just happy that you're finally awake. You've been in a coma for 9 months. Also does your family know you're here because I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that's been here to visit you." She continued rambling on. I zoned her out for a moment trying to think back to the last thing I could remember. Then it hit me.
"Barry! What happened to Barry?" I interrupted her.
"Oh, he's fine. He was in a coma too. Joe and Iris had him moved to Star Labs to be cared for there. I think he woke up yesterday though. That's what I overheard from one of the nurses here anyway."
"I need to leave. I don't want to be here anymore." I said bluntly.
"Gracey, you got struck by lightning! I think you should stay here a little while longer," I glared at her, "okay, I'll go get the nurse." She sighed.
Lisa walked out of the room looking for a nurse. I looked around the room feeling my patients growing thinner by the second when suddenly a family walked passed the door. So many voices erupted in my head, causing me to have a ringing headache. I tried covering my ears from the noise but it didn't seem to help. It felt like a million voices at once were talking to me. I heard a familiar voice say my name, causing all the other voices to grow silent. I looked up and saw Lisa standing at the foot of the bed with a doctor. I lowered my hands from my ears and tried to look fine.
"Ms. Allen, I know you're probably very eager to go home but I'm afraid we will need to keep you a few more days for monitoring purposes." She said with a rehearsed smile.
"No, I don't think you understand. I am going home today!" Anger boiled up inside me.
The doctor stood frozen in my gaze. She was unresponsive for a moment and then smiled, "Good news, Ms. Allen, you're free to go. Let me just get your discharge papers and we'll get you out of here."
"What? What about keeping her for monitoring like you we're talking about a minute ago?" Lisa questioned.
"What are you talking about? She doesn't need any more monitoring. She's leaving today." The doctor said leaving Lisa confused.
"Hey Doc? One more thing, who did you all notify that I was in here?"
The doctor looked through some pages on her clipboard, "looks like we called both of your emergency contacts, Lisa Snart and Joe West."
"Just checking, thank you." The doctor walked out leaving me and Lisa alone.
"What the hell was that about?" Lisa asked.
"It's no big deal. It really doesn't surprise me that Joe never showed and plus he had Barry to worry about."
"No, that's not what I'm talking about. I mean your doctor. She said you needed to stay and then a minute later she's telling you she'll go get your discharge papers."
"I don't know and I don't care as long as I get out of here."
Lisa smiled and pulled out her phone and started writing a text.

"Since you've asked me almost everyday how she's doing I figured you'd want to know that she's awake and she's coming home today."

"Who did you just send that to?" I asked
Lisa looked a little confused, "uh I just texted Lenny."
"But why did you send him that!" I demanded to know.
"What are you talking about Gracey? He's my brother I think I'm allowed to text him!"
"But why did you figure he'd want to know that?"
Lisa's eyes got big, "How did you know I texted him that?"
"Uh, because I heard you!"
"But I never said that out loud. Did I?"
"How else would you explain me hearing you?"
The doctor came into the room, "I got all your discharged papers filled out. Now let's just get you off these machines and you can be on your way." She smiled.
