"Gosh Hoseok, could you be any more of a disappointment?!" His mother scolded as Hoseok entered the house about two hours late.

Sehun and his friends had decided that it would be fun to tease the boy right after class ended. They gave him the usual beating that they did but thankfully they only targeted his stomach this time. No bruises would be visible on his face and arms so he was relieved.

"I'm sorry, mother." He bowed, wincing at the pain that now spread through his whole abdomen.

"I don't need your useless apologies. I've had enough of those. Go to your room and fix yourself up. Our guests are already here. They arrived before you, how pathetic." She scoffed at the last part before changing her whole aura as she strode back to the dining room.

Hoseok quickly ran up to his room, careful not to be seen by any of the guests while he was in this state; his hair all messy and his uniform all scrunched up with dirt stains.

He carefully took off his top in front of the mirror, purple hues slowly revealing themselves all around his upper body. New bruises adding to old ones as if they never stopped multiplying.

Sighing, he decided to wear a white button up, leaving the top few buttons open, and a black blazer. He changed into nicer pants and combed his hair back for a more presentable look. Proceeding to leave his room, he walked downstairs to the dining room where he could already hear the chatter of his parents and... his soon-to-be in-laws.

He has yet to understand why they would marry off their son to a 'brownie'. Wouldn't he be a burden to their status? And for his own parents, Hoseok never came out to anyone about his preferences but it seemed that they just assumed his sexuality and didn't care about how the boy felt. No surprise there.

"You must be Hoseok!" A woman, about the same age as the brown-eyed boy's mom, beamed as she stood up from her chair to approach him with a hug. Hoseok was a bit taken aback, so were his parents. No one had ever been this welcoming to him.

His mother quickly cleared her throat. "Hoseok, meet your future mother-in-law, Min Doori." Hoseok was slightly glad by that knowledge as he politely bowed before the said lady.

"And your future father-in-law, Min Daehyun." Again, the brown-eyed boy bowed.

"This is our daughter Min Yoonji." Doori introduced, calling up a little girl who stood behind her. She had dark shoulder length hair and doll-like lips that had its own natural pout. She was no doubt adorable and looked about the age of nine.

"I'm Yoonji!" The girl proudly said, reaching her hand out to Hoseok. "But my older brother calls me Ji so I guess you can call me that now too since you're going to be my brother too."

"Nice to meet you, Yoonji." The male laughed, shaking her tiny hand. "I'm Hoseok."

"Why are your eyes brown, Hoseokie?" She tilted her head to the side as curiosity shadowed her previous thoughts. Hoseok's parents cleared their throats and the boy looked down in shame as he realized that he forgot to put on his blue contact lenses.

"It's because he's special, sweetheart." Doori explained with a genuine smile and Hoseok couldn't help but smile from hearing those words. No one has ever addressed his...difference that kindly before.

"Let's continue with dinner, shall we?" Daehyun interrupted but not in a rude manner. The brown-eyed boy was having mixed feelings about this whole marriage at this point.

He really wouldn't mind having them as his second family. Although he never really had a first.

Everyone settled in, picking their seats, leaving an empty seat next to Hoseok for the Mins' son.

"Our son had to use the restroom, he'll be back soon." Doori explained, seeing the questioning expression on the boy's face.

Not long after, footsteps could be heard from the hallway leading to the restroom.

"Sorry I took so long, I had to answer a-" The said person immediately stopped when his eyes landed on the brown-eyed male. A furious look on his face as he spat his next words. "Jung Hoseok."

"M-Min Yoongi?"
