The two of you wandered out of the shop, and crouched down by the rustling grass on the other side of the road, where a little brown tail was poking out. "Y/N?" Emily asked, looking up at you. You stood up, walked back a bit, Emily mimicking your movements.

"Alright Emily, first you've got to call out Popplio." You smiled, and she did so. "Water gun would probably be best." "Alright, Popplio, use water gun!" Emily exclaimed, and Popplio did so just as Lillipup turned round. Lillipup got pushed back by the force of the water, then tried to tackle Popplio, but the sea lion Pokemon dodged.

"Popplio, use water gun again!" Emily said. Gosh, she doesn't need me mentoring her anyway, she's a natural. Just like her brother. You thought. Lillipup didn't even flinch when the water hit it, but instead took a wary step forward. "Huh?" Emily questioned as Lillipup moved ever closer. It yapped at her quietly, before sitting down at her feet.

Emily simply watched it, unsure what to do. Popplio had followed it, and was watching the Lillipup contently. "I think it wants you to catch it, Em." You smiled, looking down at her. "I-Is that legal?" She stuttered, crouching. "Of course, don't be silly. Go on!" You urged her, and Emily brough out a Pokeball from her pocket, pressing it against the Lillipups' forehead so that the button clicked.

In a swirl of red, the Lillipup was gone, and the Pokeball clicked. "Y/N, I did it!" Emily cheered, looking up. "Well done, Emily." You smiled. "Lillipup, come on out!" Emily cried, throwing the ball. Lillipup appeared again, yapping happily and running towards her.

Emily greeted it with open arms, smiling immensely. "You know Emily, you remind me so much of your brother." You said, fiddling with the hem of your shirt/dress. "Really? Why?" Emily questioned, cocking her head to the side. "Well, y-you're just a natural." You stuttered, your words stumbling on the memories that were flooding back.

"Aw, you're so cute!" Emily smiled as the Lillipup began to chase its' small, fluffy tail. "Y/N?" You were snatched away from your thoughts instantly, looking down at your sister. "Do you really think I'm like Ash?" She asked. "Yeah! He's a great trainer, you're a great trainer... You two are more alike than you know." You said, crossing your arms.

"Wow, cool." Emily whispered, stroking her Lillipup. "Alrighty, where would you like to go now?" You asked as she stood up, Lillipup in her arms and Popplio at her side. "Wherever you think we should go, Y/N!" She chirped. Gosh, she was going to be an amazing trainer one day.

A/N: It's a short one, sorry!
