Part 16.

Jonah's POV:

I was watching Lily and I saw looking at Mia her face turned pale and she fell to the ground, I instantly stood up and ranger to her.

"Mia what the hell happened" I asked getting worried 

"Is she ok?" I heard someone ask behind me 

I turned around " I don't know someone call 911" I yelled before facing the guy behind me 

"What. the. fuck" I said standing up to see Joe in front of me 

"Oh it's you" He said rolling his eyes

I didn't say anything I just punched him in the face knocking him to the ground , I was standing over him. "Now you listen to me, I suggest you get the fuck out of here before I call police and don't you even think about stepping foot in here or around Lily EVER again you hear me" I yelled watching him cower away from me.

He nodded his head quickly and stood up, he turned away and quickly ran out of the diner.

"What the hell was that about?" Jack asked very confused 

"Don't worry we just need to get Lily to the hospital" I said quickly 

"I've called an ambulance, they're on there way" Mia said "And Jonah I don't think you should be here" She added

"You really think I'm going to leave her, she may be angry at me but I'm not leaving her side" I said 

"Fine" Mia sighed 

A few seconds later the ambulance pulled up in the car park the paramedics burst in "EVERYONE PLEASE MOVE OUT OF THE WAY" A lady yelled running over to Lily 

They did some things to her but I don't really know what they were doing and then they put her on a stretcher and carried her to the ambulance 

"Is anyone her family?" The paramedic asked

"No I'm her best friend" Mia said 

"Ok come with us please" She said 

"Can he come to?" Mia asked pointing at me 

"Of course" the paramedic said 

I was really confused and then I walked over to the ambulance, I climbed in the back with Mia and we sat down with Lily laying next to us.

"Mia why did you ask me to come?" I asked her

"Because even though she is angry at you right now, I know what you two have can't be ignored so you should be there when she wakes up" Mia said 

"What happened to her?" I asked

"I don't know, she saw Joe and passed out 

"I fucking hate him" I said getting angry

"I know, we all do but what you did was really something Jonah and I think Lily is gonna be so happy when she hears about it" Mia said smiling 

"I hope so" I said "I just hope she can forgive me because I don't know what I would do without her" I said sighing 

"Hey don't worry about it, she will forgive you just give her some time" She said smiling 

We sat in the back of the ambulance and Mia was on the phone to Lily's Mom and I just sat there with Lily's hand in mine. I looked up at Mia and she started smiling at me. 

When we arrived at the hospital the paramedics carried Lily into the hospital and we sat in the waiting room like they told us to. It didn't take long before Lily's mom arrived, when she saw us she sighed with relief and hugged Mia and I. 

"Is she ok?" Her Mom asked worried "What happened?" She added "Where is she?" She asked

"She's in the room with the doctors, we don't know what's wrong" Mia said trying to calm her down 

Then the doctor walked into the room "Hello you must be Lily's mother" The doctor said 

"Yeah that's me" She said "Is my baby gonna b ok?" She asked

"She is fine, she fainted from shock and hit her head but she is awake and ready to see you" He said telling us what we wanted to hear

"Thank you so much" We said before rushing to the room where Lily was 

We all walked in and saw Lily sitting up in the bed, she smiled at her mom and Mia as they walked in and then her smile instantly vanished when she saw me. It made my heart break seeing her like this, she hated me and all I wanted to do was kiss her and tell her how much she means to me.

"What's he doing here" Lily said glaring at me 

"Honey he helped you" Her mom said looking at me 

"What do you mean" She asked 

"What she means is that he was there for you when you fainted and he was there in the ambulance with you holding your hand the whole way here and when Joe was in the diner Jonah dealt with him" Mia said putting a hand on my shoulder

"What do you mean by dealt with him?" She asked

"let's just say he isn't coming back" I said smiling at her 

"DID YOU KILL HIM?" She asked worried

"No obviously not" I laughed 

"Oh" Lily said laughing 

I walked over to her and I sat in the chair next to her

"We are going to leave you two to talk" Her mom said walking out of the room

They both walked out of the room 

"Lily I am so sorry for everything that happened ok, when you fainted in the diner every possibility ran through my mind and I instantly realised how much I need you" I said 

"Jonah... I need you too but I just have to know if I can trust you again" She said 

"You can Lily... I promise" I said

"Let me figure that out ok... you don't have to be here for me, just go home" She said 

"But-" I said

"Jonah please" She said looking down 

"Ok" I said before getting up

I walked towards the door and I looked back at her one last time before leaving the room. Her mom and Mia were waiting outside the room and they looked at me confused.

"Everything ok?" Mia asked

"She doesn't want me here so I'm going to leave" I sighed 

"Jonah honey just let her calm down a bit, I know it might not seem like it now but you really do mean a lot to her so just wait a while however hard it may be and then she will come back" Her mom said pulling me into a hug 

"Thanks" I said before leaving the hospital 

I called an uber and then went back to the house. Not having Lily in my life was the hardest thing I had to do when I left for Minnesota and now I know I'm going to have to do it again.
