Only a few chapters left to go and next up is a blade who likes to make dumplings...a lot!

When I got down to lunch, I was surprised to find the dining table filled with well made food.

"What the?" I blinked with eyes wide open. "Did Dahlia go overboard again?"

Upon looking at it closely, I saw a plate that had...dumplings.

"Wait...there's only one blade who would make dumplings."

"Well hello, Y/N, it's been a while." A voice greeted.

Coming from the kitchen...it was Vess who many people considered to be a mom of sorts.

"Oh, hey there Vess, I wasn't aware you were coming here today." I said.

"Yes, sorry about that. But I didn't have time to let you know sooner." She then placed another plate of food on the dining table. "And I couldn't wait to see you and the other blades again."

"Of course, I'm not saying it's wrong. It's great to see you again too, Vess."

She walked up to me and we shared a close embrace. Vess was a blade that my friends came across back when we first met a family which she used to live with, until the family's driver lost his life and she went back into a core crystal. I was the one who kept hold of it and awakened it when it was ready. She had been part of our group ever since.

"Mmmm, I can smell some good food." Praxis said as she turned up. "Oh hey, it's Vess!"

"So Vess has moved into the mansion." Agate added. "Welcome to our new home."

"Thank you, girls." Vess replied. "I will do what I can as the mansion's new cook."

"Well, you're not the only one who can cook." I replied. "Some of these girls can help you with that as well."

She clapped her hands together. "Oh of course, I would be happy to have some help for next time."

"Anyways, why don't we tuck in." Praxis said. "We've got another big day ahead of us."

"If it's to do with that issue...I'll explain it once everyone in the harem is here." I replied.

We grabbed a seat and as we settled into our lunch time, the rest of the girls arrived and joined in. To think that there were only six of us living here. Now eighteen of us were living under one giant roof, with only a few more left to arrive and move in.

"So, the only ones left to arrive are Herald, Adenine, Azami, T-elos and Kos-Mos, right?" I asked. "Any idea on when they'll be moving into the mansion?"

"Oh right, I almost forgot to let you know." Vess replied. "Adenine and Azami will be arriving here tonight before dinner. The other three will join us tomorrow, they said it's because of some very important event."

"And I have a feeling on what it is already." I sighed.

Once our lunchtime had passed, it was time to talk to them about the bandit situation.

"That was a good lunch." Kasandra said. "So what did you want to tell us about?"

"It's to do with the paper I read this morning." I answered. "There's been an outbreak of bandits roaming across the lands recently and it's ruining the lives of those that have settled on this new land."

"Oh, you mean like those baddies we beat up a few days ago?" Crossette asked.

"Yep, those ones for sure." I folded my arms. "It was also why I was out this morning with Perun and Zenobia earlier. I plan to re-train my mind and body so I can stay one step ahead of the bandits that may try to be clever in raiding this mansion."
