Lucy P.O.V

I quietly walked the halls of the school with my phone in my hand. Most of the students were mingling in the Club area, so I avoided it. I wasn't here to make friends, I'm here to get my education then get into a college best suited for what I want to do. I let my smile fall as I turned my head up to the ceiling with a conflicted expression.

"But what is that..." I questioned myself aloud.

Sighing I stuffed my hands in my hoodie pocket, taking a left in the direction of the science classes. I looked for the class I would be having and started to turn my music down. When I saw the number, I grinned happily. I started to open the door until I felt a cold hand on my shoulder. I yelped slightly and quickly turned to face the person.

I was met with a very toned chest. I looked up to see two dark blue eyes staring down at me. They looked very uninterested, almost bored. I was about to speak, but those eyes silenced me. I stood patiently, waiting for him to give me his reasoning on why he grabbed me. We stood there for a few seconds just staring before he finally removed his hand from my shoulder and pointed to the door behind me.

"The science rooms are sound proof, so I get why you couldn't tell, but my friend and his girlfriend are in there having a great time...if you know what I mean" As he explained with a husky voice that almost sounded dead, my face felt like it was slowly catching on fire.

Not being able to find the right words I reluctantly just nodded and step to the side of the door, letting myself lean against it before sliding down, tucking my knees to my chest. His eyes did not change in the slightest, so I figured he would soon walk off. I thought I would be sitting here for a while, so I pulled my phone out of my pocket and turned up my music to its fullest volume.

Closing my eyes, I couldn't stop a smile from forming on my lips from the music, it was a Falling in Love with You cover, I didn't know the lady, but it was pretty good. I nuzzled my face into my arms and felt myself relax. I opened my eyes curiously and raised a brow. The boy was sitting across from me, arms behind his head, and eyes closed. I guess he felt me staring because he opened his eyes and returned my questioning look.

I quickly looked away and relaxed, feeling myself start to fall into darkness. The song filled my ears as I quietly hummed along, forgetting where I was and who was around. And fell into the darkness.

1 Hour Later

I nuzzled my face farther into my arm as I slowly opened my eyes. The boy was nudging my side with his foot, a bored expression on his face. I let out a sigh and pulled out my phone, pausing my music. I look back up at him and tilt my head to the side slightly. He huffed and offered me his hand. I shook my head and used my hands to push myself back to my feet.

"Do you have a name?" He questioned.

I gave a nod and rubbed my right eye with the back of my wrist. I yawned still trying to wake up, tired tears brimming at the corners of my eyes. He stood there patiently while I lazily leaned against the wall.

"It's Lucy" I quietly responded, giving him a glace signaling him to tell me his.

"Grey, Grey Fullbuster" He said.

"Why did you wake me up?" I asked, tilting my head at him.

He pointed towards the door and a pink-haired boy along with a white-haired girl came out insistently. I felt my face heat up slightly as I watched them giggle and help fix each other's clothes.

"Hey, fire eater you done messing around with our lead or what?" Grey asked the pink-haired boy rudely.

"What did you just say?" He responded sounding pissed.

"You heard me, now let's going" He forced as he started walking away, his hands in his pockets,

"Ok jeez, come on Liz," The boy said while he grabbed the girls had, following Grey.

I felt myself let go of the breath I had been holding that whole time they were talking as they all rounded the corner out of sight. I was going to sit back down before I heard someone call out my name.

"Are you coming, Lucy?" I turned my attention back to the corner to see Grey poke his head out. I was going to respond no but my legs started to move on their own, in his direction.

'It's the first day, it's not like we will have any classes together anyways, this is fine'

I quietly trailed behind him as the two lovers made corny comments to each other, like no one in the world even mattered. I looked up the Grey and reached out, poking his back gently. He turned his head back to me while we continued to walk and raised a brow.

"Are they ok? They seem like they are on drugs" I said, pointing my thumb over my shoulder at them. He looked at them and chuckled.

"Yes, they are fine, they are always like that" I smiled after thinking how happy they must be if that was the case. To have someone love you for everything you are, to be able to walk with them and that causes a chain reaction of happy smiles between the two. To not feel alone, or like you could be forgotten. That must be some feeling.
