Chapter 10 (Part 1/2)

(Here is a surprise for chapter 10, the whole thing will be in our lovely Gray's P.O.V.! But it will be starting just around the time Lucy ran into the doors to the music room. It will be covering Gray's P.O.V of that whole situation and then the next chapter will pick up from where this one leaves off. That being said I don't know for sure if it will be like this one and have only his P.O.V through the entire thing. This chapter will probably be well over 2000 words and might even reach 3000 so let's get started!! Hope you enjoy!)

Gray's P.O.V

Why did Lyon have to sign up for marching band, one of these days I'm justing going to keel over in one of my classes. I got to school a little over half an hour early because of my brother's new schedule and was having a very difficult time waking up. I decided it would be best for me to just get the music room open in case any of the "band" members were also in the same situation as me and were being tortured by their siblings. 

I sat myself down on one of the few chairs in front of the soundboard, lifting my hand up I groaned in irritation when only two minutes had passed according to my watch. Deciding there was no point in dwelling on my misfortune I leaned forward, pulling my bag off my back. Standing I stepped toward the desk that the soundboard was placed on, using the empty space to layout the items that were tucked away in my bag.

Finally finding what I was looking for, I let my bag fall to the floor. Picking up the headphones that were already plugged into the board, I reached over for my flash drive and attached it to the board. Before I could even pull up the tracks on it, the sound of rapid footsteps slipped through my headset. Turning my head toward the doors I waited for anything to approach and when someone did I was shocked.

It was Lucy, she looked like she had tripped and was lucky enough to catch herself on the door jam. Well at least leaving those doors open wasn't useless. I was aware that she got here early usually and just wandered the halls aimlessly until the bells rang. I had bumped into her a few times wandering myself, but usually, she was too deep into her music to even realize I was walking past her.

Pulling off my headphones I was going to ask what she was doing here until my eyes scanned her entirely. Her face was scrunched up in discomfort, her breathing was rapid, her legs were shaking, the back of her hand she was using to clutch onto the jam was very red and the way she leaned against the rough beam almost made her look...weak. 

The concern that was building was clear in my voice as I asked her if she was ok. Shocked by her sudden jump in fear I watched as her knees buckled under her. Quickly moving I reached out to grab her but didn't make it in time and just bumped my shoulder onto the jam. I looked down at her whine and cursed from the pain as she clutched her elbow, I couldn't help but laugh in my mind knowing she just ate shit. This girl hit the ground like she was a sack of potatoes, fucking hilarious.

"Wow, that was a fall" Once her gaze met mine I felt my heart twinge at her tear-filled eyes. Her current state was brought to my attention again. 

"Go away!" She croaked loudly. Frowning in my mind I watched her for a minute as she tried to smooth the pain in her arm before attempting to stand. When she failed I asked her again what happened which she responded to by turning her head away from me. 

Feeling frustrated I let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose to calm myself down. I don't have a short temper, I'm on the calmer side of that teenage hormonal spectrum. Though I didn't know why I felt so aggravated when she just refused to even answer my question.

I then decided to squat down, since most people say I'm an intimidating person, maybe moving to her level would help. When she pushed herself away I was quickly unsettled by her actions, the way she looked at me gave another pang of pain to my heart. Ignoring the feeling I instinctively reached my hand out to offer comfort but she just flinched.
