*Sabrina's POV*
"So," I start loudly, hopping down from the worktop and clasping my hands together, "What should we do whilst everyone's out?"
"I, for one, do not want to go outside until we have to." Michael pipes in, standing up and stretching, scratching the back of his fluffy colorful head as his jumper rises a little bit up his torso.
"Surprise, surprise." I smirk, earning a playful glare from him and I narrow my eyes at him challengingly as well. Before I know it, he gets a sudden burst of energy and he's sweeping me up over his shoulder, pulling a loud squeal from me and I kick my legs in the air as I hang over his shoulder.
"Mikey put me down!" I order, banging on his back with my fists.
"Nope!" He giggles.
"Mike, you're gonna drop me and I'm gonna kill you!"
"Do you guys hear something?" He asks and I roll my eyes, knowing what game he's playing. He starts to walk away, letting me get a view of Ashton and Calum laughing their asses off, not doing a damn thing to help me.
"Yeah, I'm glad you guys think this is funny." I glare at the two boys as Michael takes me away.
Ashton shrugs innocently, "Sorry babe. Michael's got ya."
"Michael Gordon Clifford if you don't put me down this instant, I will-" Suddenly, I'm thrown down onto my back, thankfully landing on the plush cushions of the lounge. That doesn't mean I didn't think he was actually dropping me on the floor like a lousy sack of potatoes. Michael laughs above me, clutching his tummy.
"You're a cock!" I shriek with a grin unable to be withheld, kicking my legs at him aggressively. He catches both of my ankles and sets them on the lounge before he's lying beside me, cuddling into my side like baby monkey.
"But you love me." He smiles and I laugh breathily, kissing the top of his hair.
"Yeah, I do."
"I'm glad you're back. You're a little shit but you're our little shit. It wasn't the same without you here." He whispers to me, looking up at me with sad kitten eyes and tears prick at the corners of my eyes.
"I'm glad to be back." I say in the same low volume, not trusting my voice to speak much louder than that. He grins and kisses my cheek.
"Hey you! Get your own cuddle buddy, she's mine!" Ashton yells in a deep voice, one of his joking voices he puts on and Michael laughs, heaving his body off of mine. I sit up and Ashton wraps an arm over my shoulders while one of my arms drapes over his stomach as I cuddle into him.
"Aww come here Mikey!" Calum coos, opening his arms for the colorful headed boy. Michael eagerly falls into his arms and cuddles his side while Calum cradles his head. "It's okay, I'll protect you from the meanie Ashton."
Michael pretends to cry and then motorboats Calum's chest over his t-shirt and I burst into laughter.
"You guys are just as weird as I remember." I smile fondly and Michael stops violating Calum and instead rests his head on Cal's shoulder.
And in this moment, huddled close together on the lounge with my favorite boys -missing Luke- everything seems normal, almost like I never even left.
-
"Hey!" The five of us - Luke came back not long after he left to drop Lindsay off at work - greet Lindsay and Becca outside the movies. Truthfully, it feels good to be outside, now that I don't have to live in a state of constant fear. I don't know why I was ever so afraid; Ashton is the last person I should be afraid of. Our group made of seven people head to the ticket booth. We all agreed on Guardians of the Galaxy, well it was a five-to-two vote, with Becca and I being the losing vote. That's okay though, I'm honestly happy to just be out of the apartment and in fresh air for once, even in a stuffy dark movie theater.
