When the Asahi's decided to settle down as a family, adopting a child is in one of their plans and Nishinoya's mainly the one who first told Azumane to consider it. The little devil always imagined themselves feeding, bathing and picking up kids at the nursery so now that they're bound as husbands for life, it's their time to hold a baby instead of a volleyball. Time to be fathers. Parenting is a huge responsibility, raising their soon to be child is even more so, but to no avail the couple was more than ready to take it head on. With that, their thorough decision is final. They will do it. Together. Their first child in their custody, an adorable baby boy, recognized two of his dads as the one that had a yellow streak in his hair, and the other with a goatee. Situated in Asahi's arms the day when they take him home, the baby had pulled at his beard and giggled. Nishinoya came to realize that their bundle of joy very much loved Asahi's beard. It's the only thing he knew of him and there was never a day when his chubby fingers didn't play with it. That's why when it eventually grew, he told Azumane to shave it to see what their child's reaction will be. Azumane went along with his husband's plan, shaving as he was told. Carrying the drooling infant right after, his big doe eyes stared at his father in confusion. He reached out, feeling for his goatee. There was nothing. "Hi, baby. It's me," Asahi cooed as Nishinoya watched. His tiny eyes watered, then their hearts warmed when he cried.
