Fenna.

The week drags on without any issues. Nolan has proved to be more than just supportive. He's an excellent business partner and a good friend too.

We've noted evident progress in that one week and we're grateful to God for everything.

I'm still in touch with my parents and brother over there though I've not been able to tell them about my company.
I'll tell them when the time comes.

Lucien picks us from our houses and drops us to work then picks us in the evening.

Nolan's cab job is doing fine and he assures me that his cousin is doing a great job.

Tess hasn't even reached out for me and I hope it's for better. She's too suffocating sometimes.

It's already on a Saturday and we've agreed to work half day.

We're still in the office when I remember that I have Robin's card and I need to call him because I still have my doubts about Nolan. He has been putting a lot of money in our business and that is enough to raise eyebrows.

“We need to hook up tonight for a drink. The job we've done so far is  worth appreciation. ”

“I agree with you Nolan. But I'll have to go home first then we can hook up later...”

“It's okay dear. I'll also be putting some things in place then I'll pick you up in the evening...”

After getting home, I rush to my bedroom to look for Robin's business card. I need to meet him before our date with Nolan that evening. I need to know more about him before I take a step forward.

Since Robin showed some hint of recognition towards him that day, I've been avoiding the topic. I've never asked him about himself again. I'm sure he's hiding something and I'll soon find out.

I pick the handbag where I had put the card and empty the contents on the bed. I have several complimentary cards but Robin's ain't among them.
I try to recall where I placed it to no avail.

I finally give up searching and hope that I'll find it soon.
*****
I'm busy doing laundry in my bathroom when the bell is rung.

I run downstairs and I find Nolan there, as breathtaking as ever, his left hand in his pocket and the right hand holding a large shopping bag, looking like a demigod.

Today, he looks more handsome than before. He has a fresh haircut and his face looks shinny and that makes my clit to tickle immediately.
I just stand there, drooling over him.

“Won't you usher me in?”

He asks, smirking.

“Sorry... Welcome.”
I say as I hug him briefly, taking his luggage into my hands.

He makes himself comfortable on the couch and takes the remote, switching the TV on.
I love how he's ever free in my house.

“You came early!”
I note, for lack of better something to say. I've placed the shopping bag on the table already.

“I missed you!”
He replies, still grinning.

“Really now?”
I ask, sitting on the couch besides him, momentarily forgetting that I was doing something upstairs.

“I've brought you something...”
He remarks, ignoring my evident stare.

I pick the bag and check inside.
I open my mouth wide in surprise as I place a bottle of wine on the table and take away chicken and burgers.

“I thought we were going out?”
I ask in disbelief, my mouth already watering.

“We'll still go. But the party begins now! How about warming the food we eat before feasting on the wine?”

He asks, grinning from ear to ear.

“It's a good idea...”
I say as I grab the food and head to the kitchen.

“Clothes can wait!”
I murmur within myself as I place the plate of chicken in the microwave.

I'm busy looking for something in the fridge when I feel a familiar hand on my waist.

It feels good on me...I must admit.

I turn back to meet a smiling Nolan...

“You startled me..”
I says as I place the plate of rice I've extracted from the fridge on the kitchen counter.

“You were taking long. I had to come and check on my business partner.”

“So kind of you...ahw!”

He reached for the microwave and switches it off.
His face changes to seriousness ad he helps me sit on the kitchen chair. He stands behind me and plops his arms on the chair, slightly touching my shoulders.

“I've something to discuss with you...”

I nod as a sign of acknowledgement.

“I hope you won't misunderstand me.”

I'm nervous already.

I hope he doesn't break my heart before I even tell him my feelings for him.

I've been intending to let him know my feelings for him but I've been adamant. I just want to know him better.
However, he gas done more than enough to prove to be loyal and trustworthy.

“I'm all ears Nolan. You're getting me nervous!”

“I've been intending to tell you this but I couldn't just get the right words....I'm in love with you Fenna.... If you say no, I'll understand...I need you Fenna. I want to marry you!”

I spring on my feet and stand beside him.

This is just a show which I'm putting on. Of course I love him too.
But I have to pretend.

I eye him, from head to toe in disbelief.

“I....I.....I.....”

I can't even get the right words to express myself.

“I'm sorry if I've caught you off guard...but I thought you felt the sane about me...”

“Finally....”

It's all I manage to say before grabbing his face and kissing the hell out of his lips.....
