After school ended, Jesse made her way towards the rooftop. That's when she recalled the azure eyed boy from earlier and then that's when it hit her.

"Mom is going to kill me if I get my clothes wet," A 7 year old Jesse pouted, her small hands resting on the rail.

"Come on Jess you just need to live a little!" The cheerful azure-eyed boy exclaimed.

Jesse climbed up the rail and looked at the large amount of water below.

"Um...," She muttered uncertainly, "I-I don't know-"

An 8 year old redhead suddenly came up from behind Jesse and pushed her into the water. Jesse shrieked as she fell, but as soon as she came in contact with the water it splashed everywhere.

Lukas and Petra jumped into the water as well, big playful grins on both of their faces. The two plummeted into the water, their clothes becoming soaked instantly.

Jesse resurfaced and eventually so did Petra and Lukas.

Jesse splashed Petra and Lukas while laughing giddily. "That was awesome! Again again!" Jesse exclaimed, a radiant smile tugging on her lips.

The old memory warmed Jesse's heart, but she bit her velvety bottom lip and crossed her arms. That wasn't the only thing she remembered.

Jesse reached the top of the roof and She sat down against a wall, her back leaning against the cold surface.

The gentle breeze made her hair sway gently and Jesse fiddled with a loose strand of her dark brown hair.

Jesse closed her eyes peacefully, letting the cool breezes pass by her.

A sudden knock at the door, made a young Jesse perk up. "I'll get it!" Jesse said, taking her hands off the piano and sliding off the ebony chair that was to big for her.

Jesse rushed to the door and pulled down her long gray sleeve to hide the cuts underneath them.

Jesse opened the door swiftly and shyly gazed at the 7 year old blonde in front of her.

"Hey Lukas," Jesse said softly, keeping her hands behind her back as she swayed from side to side.

"Hey Jesse! Do you want to play outside with me?" Lukas asked, his expectant sky blue eyes glimmering with excitement.

"Sorry Lukas, but I... I have piano lessons with mom," Jesse said sadly. Lukas' happy grin fell from his face and the excited glint in his eyes faded.

"Oh...," He mumbled.

"Maybe I'll be able to play with you next time!" Jesse exclaimed, trying to cheer him up.

"Jesse!" Jesse's mother called impatiently.

"I have to go.. Sorry Lukas," Jesse said and slowly closed the door.

Jesse quickly rushed back to where her mom was and climbed back up the piano seat.

"Play it correctly this time!"

Jesse placed her hands on the white keys and kept her eyes on the score.

Jesse's supple fingers hit the keys, creating a nice melodic tone and her eyes trailed over the black notes that were printed on the score.

Jesse's mother smacked her with a ruler and Jesse whimpered as her mother yelled at her.

"You shouldn't be playing at a slower tempo Jesse! Play it again and this time do it exactly as the score tells you! Who are you to mess up the composer's song?" She shouted, as Jesse placed her small fingers on the piano again.
