A couple of day's had passed and Jesse was sitting on the rooftop, pondering deeply.

The large door's leading to the rooftop suddenly burst open, but Jesse didn't pay much attention to it.

"Jesse?"

She looked up and instantly her eyes widened.

"Lukas!? What are you doing here!? Isn't the competition today?" Jesse exclaimed, her voice wavering a bit.

Lukas power-walked over to her, violin case on his back and his face slightly red.

"I've been looking all over campus for you, so let's get going," Lukas said, faintly, "I still want you to be my accompanist y'know."

"Lukas! I've been telling you for day's already. Look I can't do that kind of stuff! People have to be trained for those type of things," Jesse exclaimed.

She glanced down, "And what's the point if I can't give a worthy performance anyway."

She sighed and said quietly, "I'm sorry OK."

Jesse gazed at the ground. Why won't he just give up on me? She thought.

"There's a big difference y'know, it's not that you can't play it's just that you won't. Look you say your unable to hear the piano, but all I hear is an excuse for you to run away."

Jesse looked down at her lap, her hands starting to tremble a little.

Tears pricked the corners of her eyes and her chest grew tight.

"Look I know-"

"Lukas... I can't," She said quietly as she fiddled with her thumbs.

"I know you can't hear the piano. I know all of that, but maybe we fail and regret this for the rest of our lives. But were going to play," Lukas paused for a second, choosing his words ever so carefully, "But please do it for me. Please be my accompanist."

Jesse froze in place for a moment, eyes widening a little.

"What but I-"

"Please support me, even just a tiny bit," Lukas said, practically begging her as tears began to prick the corners of his vibrant eyes, "I'm starting to lose heart over this right now."

Jesse slowly got up to her feet, sighing quietly.

"Ok ok... I'll do it. I'll be your accompanist," Jesse said, making Lukas gasp a little, "But I'm not making any promises that I'll be good alright!"

"Really? Y-You mean it," Lukas stammered, his mouth opening slightly and his eyes glimmering even more.

Jesse nodded slightly, biting her bottom lip harshly.

"Hey! What are you two doing up here? Your both going to be late!" Olivia exclaimed, tapping her foot against the ground.

Lukas nodded a little as he quickly handed Jesse a few papers that were in his hand, before running after Olivia with Jesse dashing right behind him.

Jesse exhaled slowly, feeling her heart pound quickly against her chest. She just really hoped she wouldn't make a fool out of herself out there.
