Jesse's eyes quickly widened.

"Lukas!" She exclaimed as she instantly dropped to her knee's beside him.

She shakily covered her mouth with her quivering hand and harshly bit her soft bottom lip.

He wasn't moving.

His eyes were shut.

A staff member that was nearby noticed and swiftly placed a small phone up to their ear, calling for help.

Jesse's dark brown eyes were wide in disbelief and she shook her head frantically.

"Lukas," She muttered shakily, as her heart pounded erratically against her chest.

___

Everything was a blur for Jesse.

Everything happened so fast and she couldn't wrap her head around it.

Was something wrong with him all this time?

She glanced down, shifting in the chair she was sitting in.

Nurses occasionally walked by and Jesse couldn't help but fiddle with her fingers anxiously.

Reuben was sitting next to her and swiftly glanced at her, his eyebrows knitting a little.

"I'm sure he'll be OK," Reuben said, reassuringly as he put his soft hand on her tense shoulder, squeezing it gently.

Jesse sighed quietly while nodding faintly.

"But.... What happened?" Reuben asked her while cocking his head a little.

Jesse glanced at Reuben silently and exhaled slowly.

"He just started swaying and then....," She trailed off, biting her scarlet bottom lip harshly.

"And then he fell?" Reuben asked, uncertainty in his tone.

Jesse nodded slowly and turned her gaze back to her feet.

"It was so," She took a long deep breath, "Sudden."

Reuben nodded a little.

"Do you think he'll be OK though Jesse?" Reuben asked softly.

Jesse shifted and refused to look Reuben in the eye.

A long silence suddenly was in the air and great hesistance was there as well. The silence was one that brought a bit of despair.

A shadow cast over Jesse's face as she looked further down and her long silky hair covered her face.

"I... Honestly don't know anymore Reuben," Jesse said quietly and with that she swiftly stood up.

"Where are you going?" Reuben asked her.

"The bathroom," She said faintly as she pushed multiple strands of her hair behind her ear.

Reuben nodded and Jesse walked down the seemingly long hallway.

Thoughts clouded her mind. Every possibility, every outcome that could come out wrong popped up in her mind, but somehow she remained somewhat positive. Somewhat hopeful as well.

She held on to her hope and she told herself repeatedly that he would be OK, but she herself was having a difficult time believing it.

Just as Jesse looked up she bumped head's with someone and instantly stumbled backwards.

The redhead stumbled backwards as well, clutching their head with the palm of their cold hand.

"Geez Jesse, you could at least watch where your going!" The ember haired woman snapped.

Jesse smiled sheepishly and chuckled nervously as she stifled a soft groan.

"You alright?" James said softly as he wrapped an arm around Petra's shoulder. His dark brown eyebrows were knitted together, his eyes widened slightly.

Petra nodded swiftly before gazing up at Jesse who was rubbing her arm slowly.

"Sorry about that, but I'm guessing you both heard what happened," Jesse said rather quietly as she crossed her arms over her chest.

James and Petra nodded hastily.

"Do you know if he collasped before?" James asked Jesse.

She shook her head slowly and said quietly, "No."

"I'm sure he'll be alright," James said, glancing warmly at Jesse, "Besides he's strong so he'll pull through and I think we can all agree with that."

Jesse exhaled slowly and shifted from toe to toe.

"I'm going to be right back," Jesse said and just as she began to walk away, James quickly grabbed her arm.

Jesse breathed heavily, her chest heaving in and out rapidly.

Why are you so difficult!? Jesse's fuming mother snapped as she held Jesse tightly by the arm.

Jesse hastily pulled away from James and quickly backed up from him.

"Jesse?" As soon as those words came out of his mouth, she instantly sprinted down the hall, leaving James in utter confusion.

She couldn't take it. Everything was too much.

People glanced at her strangely as she ran and doctor's raised their small brows as she quickly passed by them.

Jesse pushed open the wide bathroom door so quickly, that she stumbled forward.

The creaking metal door shut behind her and almost instantly she clenched her quivering fists.

Jesse was breathing rapidly, her chest heaving in and out swiftly.

Her bottom lip began to quiver, but she took a deep breath and placed her slightly trembling hands on the cool sink.

"Calm down... Calm down," She whispered swiftly as she tapped her foot hastily against the solid ground.

She slowly adjusted her glasses with her supple fingers and the turning of a faucet caught Jesse's attention, but she didn't even bother to turn her head.

Instead, she quickly walked out and headed back to where Reuben was before he would grow concerned.

Jesse sighed softly and instantly plopped down besides Reuben while Petra and James were standing by a vibrant vending machine, chatting quietly.

The clacking of short high-heels could be heard and Jesse glanced up hastily as a skinny nurse with bright blue eyes and a dark complexion walked up to them.

Reuben quickly glanced up as well and tapped his foot.

"Your friend, Lukas is going to be OK," The nurse said then paused for a moment. Jesse and Reuben felt relief wash over them by her words. The azure eyed nurse cleared her throat, "But I have some bad news."
