Rip Hunter X Reader (Part 2)

"You two think you can figure this cognitive intrusion thing out?" Sara asks turning to you, Mick, Jax, and Professor Stein.

"With the professor as my assistant, yeah." Replied the gruff voice of Mick.

"You cannot be serious."

"Very serious. Get me a beer." You rolled your eyes at Mick's remark while you stood next to Rip. He was currently in a chair in the med bay so we could give him a sedative and have him not kill anybody.

I swear, once I get my hand on Thawne, I'm going to break his legs. What he did to Rip was worse than him not knowing who I was. Who any of us were. I tried to be mad at Rip after he shot Sara but I knew it wasn't his fault. It was the Legion of Doom's fault, and they will pay.

You found out that you could go into Rip's mind and restore him to his normal self again, thanks to Mick. At least one good thing came out of his time as Chronos.

"So who's going in?" Mick asked looking around at us. Well obviously I-

"I will." Sara said immediately.

"Like hell you are." You turn to Sara with a death glare.

"I brought Rip onto the ship. It's my responsibility."

"And he's my boyfriend!"

"No way. I'm not letting either of you go in alone." Jax says as the Professor tries to persuade him not to go. You turn back to Rip and reach your hand up to move his hair off his face. You missed him so much, the past few months have been so hard. But you were going to get him back.

"Fine, all three of us can go in." Sara then turns and looks directly at you. "But do not forget our main priority-"

"You're main priority."

"Y/N, we need to find out where the last piece of the spear is." You turn to her glaring and getting closer to her face.

"And I need to find my love and get him back. You may be captain and tell me what to do in the field, but you do not tell me that he is not my main priority!" You point to Rip while staring daggers at Sara. You then walk back to Rip to watch over him as the rest of the group watches.

~Timeskip~

"Question: What do we expect when we get inside Rip's mind?" You turn to Mick for answers.

"No idea."

"Wait, what?!" You hiss as Professor Stein inserts a needle into your neck.

"Seen it done, had it done, never taken a trip myself." He says while downing his probably tenth beer today.

"Given that you're entering his subconscious, I suspect it will look someplace familiar to our old Captain." Stein said while working on the chairs we're all seated in. You look over to Rip, worried about where he's trapped in his own mind. You take his hand and prepare yourself for what might happen.

Stein handed you all a small wrist device to tell you when you should leave Rip's mind. But you swore to yourself you will not use it till you're a hundred percent sure Rip's safe.

"Less talking, more doing."

"Mick's right. Crank it." Sara ordered Stein to start the process and immediately electricity waved through you. It hurt like hell, but you hoped it'd all be worth it in the end.

Not a second later, you wake up on the floor of Rip's office. Except it was different, everything was dark and misty. "I think it worked." You look around to see neither of the people you entered with around you. "Sara? Jax?" You get up and walk out to the bridge, still seeing nothing. "Shit."
