i lost a lot of willingness to write this book along the way. writers block sucks. i wanted every chapter to be perfect. i challenged myself to write in a novel format again, including thoughts and descriptions because i hadn't done that in so long. i wanted the peaches of Italy, the aesthetic of the inspired movie and the intensity and sexual tension of the main characters to be phenomenal.

it worked out pretty well, i guess. at one point, i thought i was going to be unable to finish this work. i pushed myself and thank god i did because, here i am. chapters done with an epilogue.

the story came to life eventually and i hope it was a good summer read. i'll miss it. i really enjoyed writing the story of Marco and Kyong, Oscar and Jaylen, Arthur, Nolan and Juwon. there's many things i'm proud of.

through this book, i really wanted to address how much the world has changed, the changed beliefs and values, the fear of cultures, the homophobia, different eras, the fear of being something different, secret relationships, expectations, the controlling strength of the future and the past and so much more.

also thank you to the great masterpiece that is the movie, Call me by your name. this talented film and book changed my life and it overwhelms me. much of Giddy was inspired by the couple, the setting and the scenes from this beautiful piece of art. please do check it out and support it with much love!
