the start of summer & the start of loveSETTE
Marco groans, resting his head against the shower glass.
Kyong Kyong Kyong...
Marco is tempted to research:
how to get someone out of your head?it feels like a spell. this alluring, placid boy arrives- his neighbour, has somehow made his way into Marco's everyday notions and emotions. he's all he thinks about. the longing to spend time with him, become something more than friends is exhausting.
so Marco comes to a conclusion when he leaves the shower- staying away from Kyong is for the best.
he finds it exceptionally hard to be a vile, bitter person to his crush since he considers himself to be a good person. especially when Marco got onto the quiet bus, not sitting next to Kyong who waves at him- calling him over.
Marco doesn't dare to look at the young boys reaction.
obviously but unfortunately the neighbours get off at the same stop.
they walk in silence, Kyong walking ahead and it's clear that he's trying to walk as fast as possible. Marco sighs- blaming himself for causing Kyong's acceptable avoidance from him.
and Marco sighs again, rolling his eyes when spotting Kyong's girlfriend waiting for him at his house.
Marco sprints ahead, passing Kyong with a peeved look. "can you go make out somewhere else?" he asks, slowing down as he eyes his girlfriend- her dress blowing due to the wind, her eyes full of thirst and a smirk wanting more.
Marco isn't really in the mood to sit in his house, knowing Kyong and his girlfriend are making out- tainting the houses of their walls with temptation, as their lips lock and touches ignite.
Kyong's reply irritates Marco even more. "can't you go somewhere else?" he fires back, eyes meeting with displeasure and uneasiness.
"i don't want my siblings to see you two with your tongues down your throat." Marco ends and walks away.

since Marco decided to change his attitude towards Kyong, the rest of the day included him being closed off, grouchy and quiet with his family. he just wasn't in the mood and couldn't deny the fact that he felt bad about the way he acted towards his incurable crush.
luckily, his family didn't question it since it's a phase everyone goes through. his teenage self was extremely moody- he's come a long way and he's glad.
that night, Marco couldn't sleep. he kept tossing and turning, eyes wide open as he tried his best not to reach for his phone. he eventually did .. just to check the time which was nearly two am.
but what disturbed him yet astounded him was the knock on the door. who could possibly come at this time? is there an emergency?
so a sleep deprived Marco made his way downstairs, slightly afraid and not willing to open the door but he did anyway .. just in case. the door revealed Kyong standing in the dark as the porch light shone on him, shoulders slumped, bizarre tan eyes- dressed in sweatpants and a flannel shirt. his murky hair hidden with a snap-back and tangled earphones hang out of his pockets.
Marco's hooded eyes are suddenly awake. "hm?" he asks, not having the energy to raise his brows.
"did i wake you up? shit." Kyong mutters, answering his own question. Marco could tell that Kyong is the type of boy who sleeps late, wakes up late and prefers to be alone, usually playing video games to pass the boredom.
Marco nods sluggishly. "yeah everyone else is sleeping."
then Marco notices something familiar on Kyong's figure ... his bandana. it's tied around his neck- black fabric that he notices straight away. it's the bandana he left at their house when hanging out with Juwon and he feels deranged.
"this is nice." Marco smirks- wondering why on earth his crush is wearing his bandana. he moves closer as his shady eyes focus on the bandana around Kyong's neck- his intimidating but fiery gaze trailing down his neck, collarbone and prominent jawline. he holds the bottom of the tied bandana, speaking in a low tone. "i'm pretty sure it belongs to me."
Marco tugs at the bandana, bringing Kyong closer.
Marco notices Kyong's flustered cheeks, feels his heart beat faster due to his hand close to his chest. their faces are close and Marco notices how curly Kyong's hair is. "didn't know your hair could be so curly Ky." he murmurs, wanting to kiss him so hard whilst having his curls run through his hands.
Kyong takes a while to reply, avoiding eye contact as he tries to laugh. "i swear you have mood swings."
Marco chuckles- thinking about how he was acting earlier in the day when he saw Kyong. "no .. i just don't like watching you and your girlfriend make out." he admits with honesty.
Marco is surprised by Kyong's boldness- he never expected him to be like this. maybe it's a good thing since it shows he's becoming snug with Marco. "why? are you jealous?"
yes.
but Marco laughs, tilting his head down before moving away. "okay .. whatever you say darling. goodnight."
Marco didn't end up finding out why Kyong had knocked.
