Chapter 19 - Prom

(Paige's P.O.V.)

We were all dancing and it was really cute. A slow song came on and Lou and I turned to each other and started slow dancing.

"did I tell you, that you look absolutely beautiful tonight. Not that you don't look beautiful all the time." Louis said

"you don't look to bad yourself" I said to him. "you boys sure clean up nicely." I laughed. I put my head on his shoulder, and we continued to slow dance until the song was over.

"boys and girls can I have your attention please! It's time to announce the prom king and queen."

Everyone went dead silent.

"can the nominees please come up" we had all gotten nominated along with Alyssa -_- The ppl who got nominated for king were fin and jack who were twins, and kyle, and jeffery. 

We all walked up and stood there on stage. The girls and I were holding hands. We knew only one of us could be queen, and we didn't mind. We promised this wouldn't get between us at all. 

"Your 2012 prom king is......" he opened the envelope. "Kyle Johnson!" everyone clapped. The other nominees went off the stage. "And now, your 2012 prom queen is Paige Colson!" My eyes went wide. I couldn't believe it.

"GO!" Syd and D said pushing me towards my crown. They went of the stage. Alyssa stomped off. I thanked everyone, and then Kyle and I had to dance. It was kind of awkward since he had a girl friend and I had a boyfriend, but whatevs we were kind of friends.

When we were done I went back over to Louis.

"Congrats babe!" he said giving me a hug. I smiled.

"Thank you." I saw that Syd and D were talking to the principle near the stage. "What's that about."

"I don't know go find out." he said. I walked over. They were discussing whether or not we were going to perform. We had decided to agree. 

We walked over to the DJ and whispered the song in his ear, but we had a little plan. We grabbed some mics, and spread out throughout the gym. When we were in position we all put our hands up, and the DJ started playing We Found Love by Rhianna. Everyone was dancing.

The spotlight hit me and I started to sing. I walked towards the middle of the gym while singing.

Yellow dimonds in the light

now we're standing side by side

We all sang the chorus and then Syd sang and then D sang. Eventually we were all on the stage and everyone was singing along and dancing. It was really cool. Even the boys were singing. 

When the song was over, we said thanks and went back to the boys. 

(Syd's P.O.V.) 

"Let's go dance" I said dragging Niall out to the middle of the gym. As soon as we walked out there All About Us by He Is We came on. 

"That was a pretty amazing performance you had there." 

"Thanks." 

"You guys are naturals. If we had just met. I would've never known that you had stage fright." he smiled. I blushed. "You look absolutely amazing by the way."
