(Syd's P.O.V.)
I woke up as if it was any other day, but then my phone started beeping
Graduation Day!!!!! it read. I laid there thinking about what was going to happen today. Today, was the last day of high school, and the first day of the rest of my life. My life as an international popstar. Today was our first concert. We had to leave right after graduation, which would be sad because we don't get to say goodbye to any of our good friends. I got up and put on a cute outfit, then got my cap and gown.
"Hang on, hang on I want pictures!" my mom said. I rolled my eyes.
"Mom, just wait until the girls get here."
"Alright Alright." Paige got here first. Her mom had tagged along to take pictures to. Then Darrian and her mom showed up.
"What is it with mom's and pictures?"
"I can't believe our girls are graduating high school." Paige's mom said as we were posing for pictures.
"I know. It seems like just yesterday we were sending them off to kindergarden." D's mom said while we were posing for my mom.
"Ok, if we don't go now, we're going to be late, and then we're going to be late for our concert, and we don't want to upset the fans of L.A. now do we?" I said.
"No I suppose we don't, but I want a picture with you and your siblings." I rolled her eyes.
"Let's get this over with. I don't know why you can't just wait until after to take these."
"Because you'll be headed to L.A."
"You're taking me to the airport Mom."
"Oh just smile and look pretty Syd!" Paige said. I posed for the pic and then we all got in our cars and went to the school.
(Paige's P.O.V.)
When we got to the school, we took pictures with some of our other friends.
"I feel like i'm being bumbarded by the paps!" I said laughing.
Everyone filed into the autotorium. The principle came on the stage and said his little speech thing, and then he started calling names and stuff. When everyone was called, we had a little music thing from the chorus, and band, and then we sang a song because everyone wanted us to. Then, all the guys in the graduating class sang AND danced to Call Me Maybe. It was by far the funniest thing I have ever seen in my class. Then the girls sang Raise Your Glass which was fun.
I was looking out into the crowd. I was looking at my parents and my brother, and then my other brother. WAIT! My other brother?! My eyes went wide. I handed my mic to Syd and ran off the stage and right over to him.
You see, my brother Travis is in the army. I hadn't seen him in a while, so that made this extra special.
I gave him a huge hug.
"What are you doing here?"
"I couldn't miss my baby sister graduating high school! Plus I had to see you off to your first concert."
"I'm not a baby."
"You'll always be my baby sister." he said patting my head. It was then that I realized that everyone was staring at us. "You might wanna go back on stage." he whispered in my ear. I hugged him one more time and then went back to the stage. Darrian started giving her speech.
(D's P.O.V.)
"No flashmob singing about how we don't have to let go of high school? I'm a little disapointed guys." Everyone laughed. "Well, I guess I should start by saying hi......so.....hi." Everyone laughed again."13 years ago, I started school in New York. I made friends and had fun being a kid. Then 5 years later, I moved to Thomaston. Of course being a 4th grader I missed my friends in New York, but I made new ones. 3 years later I moved to South Thomaston which meant I'd be going to the Rockland school. I made some amazing friends quickly." I looked over and Syd and Paige and they smiled. "The next year our schools combined, and Thomaston and Rockland were put together in one school. I reconnected with my old friends but still kept the same ones. Life was pretty good for me. We came here in the 10th grade and to this day I have the same friends I've had for years. But today, things change. I'm not going to wake up in the morning and wonder what so and so is going to wear today. I'm not going to have classes or homework, but I will have these friends. These people excepted me for my loud, quirky, self. And I know I can be annoying at times, but these people love me for me." I looked over at the girls and they had started to get teary-eyed. I looked back out at the audience. The auditorium doors opened. It was the boys. "And tonight, I'm going across the country to do what I love, with the people I love for the first time. And apperently I have to go, so my point is, that no matter how far we go in life, we'll always have our friends."
"Now we gotta go!" Paige said.
"We love you all! We promise to come do a concert back here at some point. Look out world here comes PDS!" Everyone cheered as we said goodbye and left. Our parents followed afterwards.
"Promis you'll call when you get there?"
"Yes Mom!"
"Every place you go?"
"I've gotta go mom"
"I love you Honey."
"I know Mom. I love you too." my mom started to cry as we got I climbed in the car.
"Syd come on!"
"I would love to, but my mother won't let go of me." she finally let go, and Syd ran to the car before her mother could give her another hug. The boys climbed in too and we drove to the airport.
