Chapter 30 - How Could You?

(Syd’s P.O.V.)

We had all gotten invited to a big celeb halloween party. It was gonna be a pretty fun night. Liam, Kalyn, and I had been appointed designated drivers, so we only took to cars. 

When we arrived at the venue and the paps were everywhere. It was insane. We quickly scurried inside, and then everyone immediately started to have fun. There were so many people that we had grown up watching on tv, or listening to on the radio. I walked around with D and Paige for a little bit. We met Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawerence, Zac Efron, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, Cher Lloyd, Justin Bieber, and Beyonce. It was really cool. After a while, everyone sort of dispersed and did their own thing. 

I went to go sit at our table with Liam. We were talking about Take Me Home. 

“I can’t wait for it to come out already!” I said giggling. 

“I really wish you guys could hear it.” 

“I know. Live While We’re Young is so awesome.” 

“Thanks.” 

“You know it. Hey I’ll be right back. I walked over to the bathroom to check my make-up. When I opened the door, I saw the last possible thing I ever thought I would see. I froze. Niall was sucking face with some blond chick. 

“Niall?” I said. Or at least I thought I said it. My throat had suddenly became dry. Apparently I had because he and the girl both looked at me.

“What do you want?” The girl said. 

“I want to know why you’re sucking face, with my boyfriend.” I said not knowing where I got the sudden burst of confidence. 

“We’re not dating anymore.”

“Since when?”

“Since now, I don’t like you anymore.”

“You have got to be kidding me.”

“Does he look like he’s kidding?” the chick said.

“Shut up!” I snapped. 

“Don’t tell her to shut up. Why don’t you just leave?”

“You know what, maybe I will.” I stormed out of the bathroom tears streaming down my face. I went back to our table. Liam looked right at me.

“What’s wrong?” he said. 

“Niall.....bathroom......girl.......kissing.” was all I could manage to get out. 

“HE DID NOT!” KK yelled understanding.

“What?! What didn’t he do?”

“He was sucking face with another girl in the bathroom!” 

“How did you understand that.”

“It’s a girl thing.” she said. I buried my face into Liam’s chest.

“Liam he cheated on me. He promised he wouldn’t.” 

“Sydney he’s drunk.”

“It doesn’t matter. He cheated.” I just sat there while Liam and KK comforted me. “I think I’m gonna head home.”

“Ok, well I’ll see you tomorrow.” 

“No, I mean home home Liam. Like in America.” 

“What?! No you can’t!” 

“I just need a break from being famous for a bit, and PDS is off for the next month anyway.” 

“What about your friends!” Liam said.
