"Will they be coming back?"
"No, I don't think so. I shut off the time machine." The BLU Spy reported.
"Good."
Spy left the room and met up with the rest of his teammates.
"Where did you go?" Medic asked.
"I was getting something I forgot," Spy retorted, "plus, it isn't any of your business anyways."
"Alright." Medic said with hurt in his eyes.
They have no idea. . . Spy thought.
Ever since the mercs escaped the massive horde of zombies, they had nothing except the stuff they gathered in a hurry.
They've been walking all night, no food, no water. The mercs needed a place to rest, so they found a gorge. . .
Sniper woke up in the morning, and as usual, he made a fire and ate some bread.
Scout woke up shortly after and sat next to Sniper. Sniper gave him some bread, and they ate.
"Wonder if we'll see our team anytime soon?" Scout asked.
Sniper glanced to the side of him, to look out of the gorge, and saw the rest of the mercs standing there.
"Yeah, in fact, they're here now!" Sniper chuckled. Scout looked over and saw the team. They both stood up.
Scout ran up to the team.
"Fellas!" Scout cried.
"Scout! Sniper!" The team shouted.
"We were looking for you. Our camp in Blackwater, which is the first town we went to, got invaded by a horde of zombies." Engineer stated. Scout stared at him, knowing that Blackwater was from Red Dead Redemption.
"We're lucky we escaped with our lives!" Medic announced.
"Shouldn't we go back home now?" Demoman asked.
"Yes! I forgot." Engineer laughed.
"How did you-- actually, nevermind," Scout spoke.
Engineer reached into his pocket to get the time travel device, but nothing was there.
"Engineer, what happened to it?" Scout asked.
"Um. . . I-I think I left it." Engineer stammered nervously.
The team would have to Blackwater, and Blackwater is full of zombies.
After a day of trudging through the hot, wild west, the team arrived at the outskirts of Blackwater.
"Ah, piss." Sniper observed blackwater. It was infected with zombies. The team's camp was somewhat far from the town, so it wouldn't be hard to get to.
"Exactly. This is what we had to run from." Soldier announced.
"So here's the plan. We're going to sneak around the town to get to our camp. If we get caught, Heavy will take the zombies out with his minigun." Engineer stated. Heavy pulled out his minigun.
"How did you get your minigun? Scout asked. Heavy shrugged.
"That's exactly what I asked!" Engineer stated.
The mercs snuck around Blackwater easily. "Well, that was a piece of cake!" Scout stated.
When they neared the camp, the time travel device came into view. It was sitting on a small rock. There was only one problem: zombies.
The mercs started killing zombies. They were being smart and using knives and machetes instead of guns. Guns would attract zombies to the mercs, due to its loud sound.
Once the mercs finished off the last of the zombies, Engineer quickly grabbed the time travel device.
"It's fully charged!" Engineer announced. He pressed some of the buttons and flipped some switches.
"Ready to go home?" Engineer asked. The mercs nodded, and Engineer pressed a button that opened a wormhole.
Most of the team went in already, but Scout stayed behind.
Sniper was about to go in the wormhole, but then he noticed Scout staying behind.
"Scout? What are you doing? Why aren't you happy we're going home?" He asked. Scout had a gloomy expression on his face.
"Listen, Sniper, I'm sorry that you had to put up with me this whole time," Scout stated.
"What do you mean?" Sniper asked.
"I've been an emotional wreck, I slowed you down this whole time,--" Scout was about to continue even more, but when he saw Sniper's worried look, he stopped.
"No, you did not. Scout, you know how I like to isolate myself from the rest of the team?" Sniper asked.
Scout nodded.
"Well, you kept me in good company. Without you, I probably wouldn't have made it out alive." Sniper continued.
Scout smiled. "Thanks, Sniper."
"No. thank you!" Sniper chuckled. After a while of smiling at each other, they finally went through the wormhole.
