Creak! That's the sound the floorboard made when the team entered the saloon. Then there was silence. Everyone looked at the team.

"Umm. . . hi?" Engineer greeted everyone in the saloon. A few people waved, but then they went back to what they were doing before. Engineer looked at Sniper, but he just shrugged. Engineer sighed and walked up to the bartender.

"Hello, what can I get you?" The bartender smiled.

"I just want to know—" Engineer gets interrupted by Demoman.

"I'll take a- *burp* shot," Demoman, his already drunk self, asked.

"Coming right up," the bartender laughed.

        "Seriously?" Engineer complained.

"What?" Demoman shrugged, then took his shot. He burped, then collapsed on the counter.

Engineer sighed, "just what we needed right now. Anyways, what year is it?"

"What kind of stupid--" The bartender got cut off by Engineer.

"Just answer it! Please," Engineer snarled, already angry.

"It's the year ----" The bartender told the year.

        "Okay, thank you,"

        "No problem, partner."

Engineer found the team at a nearby table. "Okay, we need to find a place to stay, it's getting dark. Heavy, grab Demoman." Engineer commanded. Heavy grabbed Demoman and put him over his shoulder.

        "Let's go," Engineer said.

The team asked the bartender if there were any rooms that were open, and there were. Except, the team had no money. They were not as prepared as they thought.

"Could this day get any worse?" Engineer rubbed the bridge of his nose.

"Let's go steal some horses!" Scout shouted. The team stared at him for a minute. One minute turned to two, and two minutes turned to three. They should be happy that no one in the saloon heard Scout.

"Yeah!" The team finally shouts back. Why were they so enthusiastic about that? Well, its the RED team, so what would you expect?

Scout wiped his forehead and said, "phew! I thought you guys were going to get mad at me or something!" The team was already gone.

"Wait for me!" Scout yelled while running after his teammates.

Scout met up with his teammates. It was getting dark, and only a few people were outside. He met them in an alleyway. "For some reason, this place really reminds me of Red Dead Redemption," Scout addressed.

        "Shh!" Sniper shushed Scout quietly.

"We're waiting for most people to go away so we can continue to adventure," Sniper told Scout in a whisper.

"We need to split up," Sniper announced, "Scout, you're with me. Everyone else, split up in two. Someone will have to be in a group of three. Look for supplies."

"Where will we meet up at?" Soldier asked.

"Just outside of town, we'll find each other," Sniper answered.

Sniper signaled for Scout to follow him. They had to be sneaky so they wouldn't get caught. They stole a loaded revolver and tried to get a horse. They got one but got caught.

"Hey!" One of the men outside said. Sniper and Scout were both on the stolen horse, so it would be kinda hard to get away. Sniper handed Scout the revolver and told him to shoot near the man, but not directly at him.

Scout shot near the man, but that just pissed him off even more. The man shot at them, but the bullets missed. He shot again.

"AH!" Scout grunted. The bullet hit Scout right in the shoulder.

"Scout, are you alright?" Sniper asked.

        ". . .y-yeah," Scout stuttered.

"I'll get you to safety," Sniper said, then kicked the horse into a trot.

"It's going to be a bumpy ride, but we need to get far away from this town," Sniper assured Scout, then turned over to shoot the men behind them. The men had horses also, so they needed to hurry up and get away.

"Hold on, Scout," Sniper urged the horse to go faster.
After a while, they made it to someone else's camp.

"Hey, what are you doing here? You aren't supposed to be here!" The man said. Sniper shot the man and got off the horse. He helped Scout off the horse and tied it up. He hauled Scout on his shoulder and set him up against a log.

"I'll find a first aid kit, just hang in there," Sniper said. Sniper looked around the camp and finally found one.

"I'll have to take out the bullet then wrap it up," Sniper said. Scout nodded.

Sniper opened up the first aid kit and got some tools to extract the bullet. "This will hurt," Sniper said.

Soon the bullet was extracted and Sniper wrapped Scout's shoulder up.

"How did you learn to do that?" Scout asked.

"My dad taught me when I was young," Sniper answered. Sniper sat next to Scout and pulled out his flask to take a sip. They sat and looked at the fire for a while.
"Sniper?" Scout spoke after a while.

        "Yeah?" Sniper answered.

        "Thanks," Scout thanked Sniper.

"No problem," Sniper smiled. He took another sip out of his flask.

"Where do you think our teammates are?" Scout asked.

"I have no idea. Hopefully still alive and safe." Sniper said. More silence. Sniper took another sip out of his flask and gazed up at the stars.

"Out of all people," Scout announced, "Why me?"

"What do you mean?" Sniper asked.

"Out of the whole team, why did you choose me? I'm possibly the worst person you could choose. I screw up all the time, and. . . and everyone just makes fun of me." Scout stammered. Tears started forming in his eyes.

"Because," Sniper searched for the right words as Scout looked at him, "you're much better than that. You are an important member of the team."

        Then they heard growling.
