Chapter-13 Entwined Hands

"Oh god! I'm so full" exclaimed Nandini keeping her hand on her belly.

"If you will eat like a panda this is bound to happen" laughed Manik.

Shut up! giggled Nandini and playfully nudged him. Come let's go! said Nandini as she got up from her seat.

Manik's Internal Monologue

My car was parked pretty far from the place so we had to walk for a little while. This was the first time that we had been together without creating any drama. I looked at the sky for it was the perfect color. Not too blue, not too orange just the right color. Nandini was walking beside me. Her hands brushed against mine and she looked at me. Our eyes met and that is the exact moment I realized how pretty her eyes were.

Nandini's Internal Monologue

I saw Manik looking at the sky and smiling. This guy blushes every five minutes and I don't why. But he looks cute when his lips curve into this little smile. I realized that my hands brushed against his. I looked at him only to find him looking at me already.

Manik's Internal Monologue

I don't why I couldn't control this urge to hold her hand once again. Ah! I was craving for that warmth.

Nandini's Internal Monologue

I don't know how but I could see a certain kind of need in Manik's eyes. He kept looking at our hands as if he's controlling his urge to entwine his hands with mine.

Their hands brushed again as if destiny wanted to witness their entwined hands.

Nandini slightly touched Manik's hand as if signalling him to hold her hand. Manik felt jitters as Nandini held his fingers. That's it he knew Nandini too wanted to hold his hand.

Their fingers entwined and their palms touched. Nandini's heart started thumping. She felt weirdly nice. The touch of his palms evoked a surreal feeling in her heart.

Manik tried his best not to blush seeing their entwined hands. He knew if he blushed Nandini would catch him and tease him.

No matter how much hard you try you can't hide that blush! laughed Nandini

What! No I wasn't blushing please! fumbled Manik

Does she read minds or what how did she know that I was blushing!
thought Manik.

Manik

We reached my car, that 5 minute walk towards the car felt like an eternity. That 5 minute walk shall always be engraved in my memories.

Nandini

We reached his car. Oh! So now I'll have to leave his hand! But our hands were entwined really tight like they were meant to be or shall I say they were destined to be
