[23] "Always Remember I'm Here If You Need Me, I Love You"

{12:38 pm} Karman (yeah, he may be my dad, but he does not deserve to be called that. I barely knew him and when I did get to know him, he fucked my life up so bad!) says something to the somewhat young-looking lady that's sitting at his table and before I can even wrap my head around what's happening, he's standing in front of our booth. "Good afternoon, son," Karman greets as he forks over a creepy smile to me. It creeps me out so much, goosebumps erupt on my body and I cringe. "It's been so long since I've seen you last, son. How are you?"

I roll my eyes at the way Karman is acting towards me. This dude has never been nice and civil with me. 'Stop the effing act, Karman!' I mentally complain. "Karman, what are you doing here?" I hiss as I tug my fiancé closer to me, not trusting Karman in any way whatsoever.

"I live in Spring Valley now with your new mom, stepbrother, and baby sister," Karman acknowledges in a kind, civilized voice. "What are you doing here? Did you get rid of that little monster? Because I don't see him with you guys."

"Karman, shut the fuck up!" I hiss behind clenched teeth. I then take a deep breath as I grip the edge of the table, my dull nails practically digging in. "First and foremost, we did not get rid of "that little monster"! Our beautiful angel is back at the house with his uncles and aunt. And second of all, don't even go there with the whole your new wife being my new mom! Kaycie's back in my life and no woman could ever replace my mom's spot!"

Karman cocks an eyebrow. "How is Kaycie back? I thought you 'killed' your own mother."

"I thought I did too, but I didn't. So she's back in my life now. Actually she's staying with my family and I at our house."

"And where is this house?" Karman asks, giving me a curious look.

"None of your effing business," I practically growl. I turn my attention to Morgen and Dezerae. "Hey, y'all want to leave? We haven't ordered any food yet and if we get hungry we get grab a bite somewhere else."

Morgen and Dezerae glance at each other for a moment, both of them having the same confused expression on our face, and then turn their attention back to me, shrugging. "I guess," they answer.

{12:44 pm} I flag our server down and I ask her for our bill. She nods and then disappears. I turn my undivided attention back to where Karman was standing, but I instantly realize he isn't standing there anymore. "Where'd Karman go?" I ask, pivoting sideways to face Dezerae.

"Back over to the table where his "new wife" is," she answers, putting air quotes around new wife before pointing over to the table Karman's at.

I pinch the bridge of my nose as I exhale a deep breath as I watch from the corner of my eye as Karman says something to his new wife. "Shit, we need to get out of here," I whisper as I fidget around in my pocket for my wallet.

"Am I missing something?" Morgen asks quietly from across the booth. "Who is this guy and why do we need to leave suddenly?"

I release a heavy sigh as I glance at Morgen. "Look, I'll tell you in the car," I answer, raking my fingers through my hair. "We just need to get out of here."

{12:45 pm} A minute later, our server returns with our bill. After our drinks are paid for, I drop a $5 on the table and then I yank my guests out of there like the whole building is on fire.

{12:56 pm} Pulling into a parking spot, Morgen shifts the car into park in the parking lot for a place called 'Adventuredome Theme Park' before he shuts off the engine. Kaiden releases a heavy sigh as he leans back in his seat and squeezes his left wrist, digging his dull nails into his scarred skin. "Morgen, you really want to know who that guy was?" Kaiden asks as he peers over at our newfound friend in the driver's seat. He nods. Kaiden sighs softly as he turns his attention to stare out the window. "That guy was Karman Allow A.K.A. my father I never really got to know properly A.K.A. the one who put Dezerae and I through fucking hell back in 2014/2015," he answers behind his tears.
