I got my schedule the next morning and immediately began comparing classes with my friends. I knew David, Leon, and Oliver's schedules would mostly line up due to their aspirations to become Healers, but we still managed to line up some of our more common classes.
As for Carri, she mostly focused on the basics. Carri wanted to be the best stay at home mom there was, so she really only took the basics and Care of Magical Creatures, in case her kids wanted pets.
"Well, we all have Charms and Transfiguration together," I said to the group, "I'm sure Flitwick and McGonagall will be thrilled."
"I think Gryffindor boys are in those classes too," Carri said, and I saw a gleam in her eye. Uneasily, I remembered her real scheme concerning my love life. "That's going to create some good opportunities."
"I think the Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain is in those classes too," David said, "That should be interesting. All four houses have senior players in one class?"
"Two classes," Leon corrected, "If they're in both Charms and Transfiguration."
"I can smell the fights now," Oliver said and turned to me. "Try not to punch too many people this year, Glinda. You wouldn't want to set a bad example for the younger players, now would you?"
I stuck out my tongue and playfully held up my fists. "I'll punch you if you want," I jested, and Carri lowered my arms.
"No punching my boyfriend!"
"So Leon and David are fair game?"
"Please don't punch me," Leon replied, eyeing me warily. David scooted away from me.
"I won't," I laughed, "Not right now, at least."
"Glinda!"
I smiled cheekily at Carri and slid out of my seat. "Look at the time! I think I hear Fawn calling my name. Better go check up on that."
"I need to talk to you later!" Carri yelled at me as I walked away, and I gave her a thumbs up.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked sliding into the seat across from Fawn and Peaches, next to Anna and Ana. Fawn glanced up from her drawing pad and grabbed my schedule from my hands.
"What classes does she have with us?" Anna asked, trying to see through the paper. "I know we planned all of it out, but things never seem to work out right in reality."
"We all have Charms and Ancient History," Fawn said slowly, "Then some of us have Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration too."
"Where's Sandy?" I asked, popping a couple of grapes into my mouth. Sandy was usually more prompt than the rest of us.
"She said she had some important letters or something to write before she came up to eat breakfast," Ana replied, "She even shooed me out the Slytherin dorm room."
"Classes start Monday, right?" Peaches asked, and I nodded my head while Anna replied.
"Yeah, so we have the rest of today and tomorrow before we actually have to do anything."
"Speak for yourself," Ana said, "I'm going to try and scout out the drama and news from over the summer, hopefully making the first printed newspaper by the end of the week." She pulled out a notebook and quill out of her bag. "Do you guys have anything for me?"
"I do!" I said and explained to her what was happening with the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. "I'm going to try and confront Olivia today," I explained, "So I'll confirm everything for you, but Autumn is pretty good with giving me hard facts."
"That's an excellent first piece!" Ana cheered and turned to Fawn and Peaches. "You better have some good comics for the first edition of Hogwarts Hogwash, 'cause something tells me this edition is going to sell crazy to the other Quidditch teams."
