Chapter 13: Faker

Sonic Pov
Ow, my head. Where am I? It's so dark. Last thing I remember is seeing Metal on the ground with a hole in his chest and those bastard 'friends' of mine. What happened to me afterward? At that moment, I saw a light in the distance. I made my way to it only to hear the other me talking.

Shadow Pov
"Who are you? You're obviously not faker. Identify yourself!" I demanded. "With pleasure," he hissed. "I am Sonic's dark emotions personified. I am everything he tries to hide about himself. And I owe you and Ms. Rose a thank you. Had it not been for you, it would've taken much longer to control this body." As he finished he began to laugh hysterically. "If that's true, then where is he? You can't rid yourself of your other side. If it were possible, he would've done it to you." I growled. "Very perceptive hedgehog. He's currently locked in our head. Only he can regain control over our body. Oh, and another thing. Don't try that cheesy love/friendship crap to boost him into fighting back. He thinks of you and Amelia as his enemies. Along with the rest of your pathetic friend group." He bellowed.

"Why does he think that?" I asked. "Because the good doctor over there told him about his 'memories.' He told him that all of you betrayed him and planned to do it again. Don't blame me though. I just pointed the finger at you and Amelia." He cackled. "Are we gonna fight or keep chatting?" I snarled. "You? Fight me? Hahahahah. I never saw you as a comedian. But I'll entertain you. Just this once."

Damn. I have six of the emeralds but I don't know where the last one is. Hold on. I sense a faint chaos energy in that container by Metal Sonic's body. I need a distraction to get that last emerald.

Amy Pov
I feel like a train ran over me. Huh? Why is Knuckles carrying me and Tails? "Hey Knuckles. Why were me and Tails unconcious?" I asked. "Well Metal Sonic knocked you clean out. Shadow got furious and dismantled Metal Sonic ,then started mumbling to your body." I began to blush lightly. "That's when things took a wrong turn. We heard a loud roar and turned to see Sonic. Of course, we were all happy to see him and thought we were definitely saved but-" Rouge cut him off. "But something's changed with Big Blue. He screamed 'What did you do' and we thought he was talking about you. Tails approached him but Sonic sent him flying. Shadow stayed behind to fight him so we could get away." She stated with a slight look of depression. "HE DID WHAT?" I shouted as I struggled to break free of Knuckle's grip. I managed to get free and rushed to Eggman's base. Please be okay. Don't kill each other while I'm on the way.

When I made it, I saw Sonic with dark quills....again. What happened? Was this because of me, or Metal Sonic. Why weren't they fighting? They just stood there watching each other until Sonic spoke up. "What's the matter hedgehog? You talk a big game but you haven't made a move. Waiting on backup?" he mocked. What was wrong with Sonic's voice? That didn't sound like him. That couldn't be my Sonikku. "Nah. Just enjoying the scenery. What's your excuse?" Shadow barked back. That sounded like something Sonic would say. "I thought it was typical for the challenger to make the first move. My mistake." he finished as he prepared to launch at Shadow. "SONIC! WAIT!" I screamed. They both turned to look at me. "Rose, what are you doing here? Leave, this is too dangerous." Shadow commanded. "Aww. Don't be a buzzkill Shadow. Let the lady stay. I'm sure she wants to play as well." he smirked. "Leave her out of this. This is between us." Shadow uttered desperately. "You know what? You're right Shadow. She has no place here." he flashed an evil grin. "Faker wai-" Before Shadow could finish, I was sent flying into another wall.

Seizing the oppurtunity, Shadow rushed to the last emerald in the container. Upon obtaining it, he immediately went super. Sonic turned around and exclaimed, "Now I might have to try. Bring it Shadow the Hedgehog." "You're gonna pay for what you did to Rose!" Shadow said. "Why don't you come over here and prove it." he replied. The fight began.

Sonic started by sending a kick into Shadow's stomach. Shadow groaned in pain as he sent a punch into Sonic's ribs. Sonic flinched and responded by launching a flurry of punches into Shadow's torso. He gasped for air which gave Sonic the chance to kick him to the ground. Upon hitting the ground, Shadow coughed up blood. Sonic came hurdling from the sky but Shadow dodged it at the last second.

Shadow sent a kick straight into Sonic's jaw, causing him to spit out blood. "Not bad hedgehog. Not bad at all." He voiced mockingly. "There's more where that came from." Shadow said. With that, round two began.

Shadow dashed forward landing a punch in the middle of Sonic's chest. Sonic laughed as he axe-kicked Shadow face first into the ground. He quickly bounced back and hit a full powered uppercut on Sonic. Sonic simply laughed and jabbed Shadow at the speed of sound in the face and torso. After the beating, Shadow lauched a barrage of Chaos Spear into Sonic. They both began to pant heavily.

"Hey hedgehog. How about we end this little warm-up and get to the real fight." Sonic barked. "Nothing would make me happier." Wait. They were just warming up? They HAVE to be bluffing. They both look beaten. Maybe they're just about to launch their final attacks at each other. The fight begins again except this time, my eyes can't keep up. They're just a yellow and black light dashing through the sky clashing and seperating. Suddenly, they both come crashing back into the base. I can't see them because of the vast smoke.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HIM? HE ALREADY LOST! LEAVE HIM ALONE!" I screamed helplessly.
