Deception

Chapter 27: Deception begins

"Wait a minute. You mean Cream had a plan for getting those two together?" Knuckles asked. "Yeah but she thought she would never get to use it since Sonic left and she didn't think he'd come back. She's gonna be excited to hear we can use it." Tails added. "That's cool and all Tails but can you explain the plan?" Knuckles said angrily.

"Actually no. All I know is the plan's name and who it involves. Cream said she'd explain further if we ever needed to use it. She really is scary. Shipping people after all this." Tails chuckled. "Well, let's go look for Cream." Suddenly, they remembered who was with them. "C'mon guys! Hurry up!" Amy screamed while waving them toward her. "Guys, we have to ditch Amy." Blaze said.

"Hey Amy! We have to go check on something! We'll meet you afterwards!" Blaze cooed. "Can I come?" Amy called back. "No! They're really shy around new people." Blaze replied. They actually weren't lying. After losing Amy, the first place they checked was Tails' house and she wasn't there. Then, they decided to check her house. When they found her, they all felt stupid for not checking there first, especially Tails.

"Hey Cream. We need your help." Silver said. "Hm? With what Mr. Silver?" Cream said in response. Tails stepped forward. "Cream, it's time for Operation: Deception." Tails called cooly. As he finished, Cream's eyes lit up. "FINALLY!" she screamed in excitement. Everyone had to cover their ears because of her high-pitched squeals. "First thing we have to do is get Mr. Sonic to realize how he feels about Amy. I'm assuming she still loves him?" Cream asked in a serious tone. "More than ever." Silver spoke up. "Alright. So I can trash step two. So, step one is to make Mr. Sonic jealous. However, we have to be careful about who we use. I don't think we could use Mr. Shadow since we've already seen how he reacts when it's her and Mr. Shadow. Any ideas?" she asked like a military general.

"Wouldn't Shadow be the most effective person to use? I mean, since Sonic's seen how much he's put her through, wouldn't he want to protect from him and have to confront his feelings?" Tails asked slowly getting into this. "Way to make me feel bad fox." Shadow chimed in. "It's true Mr. Shadow but he wouldn't work for several reasons. The most important one is Mr. Sonic thinks that Amy feels more strongly about Mr. Shadow than himself which would make him back off further." Cream explained. "Geez. You're good at this stuff." Knuckles joked. "Of course I am. I played cupid with you and Ms. Rouge after all." Cream mocked.

Nobody could tell if Knuckles was blushing or not but he did lower his head. "Back to what I was saying. I say Mr. Silver. He could be viewed as a rival and Mr. Sonic has no reason to back away. But at the same time, we have to get Amy to to ignore Mr. Sonic for a while. Getting curious, Mr. Sonic will follow her one day, only to find out that she's been blowing him off for Mr. Silver. What do you guys think of Operation: Deception?" Cream asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Honestly, it's pretty good. But do you back up plans in case this one fails?" Shadow asked. "Of course! I've wanted Amy and Mr. Sonic together since forever now! I used all of my brain just to make sure they get together. And I'm glad I finally get to use my plan!" Cream squealed in excitement. "I'm starting to see a problem though Cream. How do we get Amy to avoid the guy she's loved for years just to hang out with me without telling her the plan?" SIlver asked. "You have a point but why wouldn't you tell Amy? She should be the most excited about this." Cream pointed out. "Well, she would be but she is trying to convince herself that Sonic loves Sally and only likes her as a friend. Being the way she is, she wouldn't go along with it because she's 'rooting' for his love." Silver answered. "That explains a lot. But if we can't get her cooperation, we'll force it. Tails, plant a tracker on Amy and Sonic and have them send us a signal when Mr. Sonic and Amy are in the same area." Cream uttered like a veteran. "What does it explain Cream?" Knuckles asked.

"Well..."

With Sonic
"C'mon Sal. I need help." Sonic asked like a child. "I'll answer you in a second. How are you alive?" Sally questioned slightly creeped out. "Long story but I don't have time. I love Amy but I don't think she feels the same. I mean, I put her through a lot over something that I didn't even let her explain, then I tried to kill the guy who I thought she loved. After that, I died and the first things I say to her are all hateful. To finish it off, she called me a monster and wasn't even there when I came back to my senses, so I don't think she cared enough to even fight for me to come back which is partially why I let dark me have control for so long." Sonic ranted with tears beginning to form.
