NOVEMBER ✧ Thanksgiving break

MALIBU, CALIFORNIA

                        For the first time, they decide to leave Forks for a little vacation to take their minds off of everything. They left Thursday, deciding to skip school on Friday and were returning Monday night as they had that day off of school. It was only for the weekend because they're on thanksgiving break, but thankfully Charlie had given Bella permission to go to Malibu again seeing as she was one of his daughter's most trusted friends. Valentina, Luka, Emmett, and Bella pull into the driveway at around midnight with Sunny already waiting outside for them to arrive.

"Welcome back," He greets them with an easy smile, helping them bring in their small bit of luggage.

Bella was grateful that Charlie had allowed her to come, it was the perfect getaway to finally release her emotions and all the tension she had been feeling whilst being in Forks. Everything around her reminded her of them and it was hard to not give into the depression, and she would have spiraled if it weren't for the support of her friends. She'd always felt like she was leading a bland life, bills, school, taking care of her mom, but all of that changed when she met Edward, and now everything's changed and her boring life has become one of wonder, with new experiences she'd never forget.

On the other hand, Valentina was also grateful to have Bella around. They had become very close friends and Val would never abandon her friend. This also wasn't the time for Valentina to go running back to Asmodeus with her tail tucked between her legs. She had to be stronger for Emmett, Luka, and Bella. That's why she stayed...she wanted to be stronger than her emotions and prove to herself, as well as her lovers, that she can manage despite the pain.

Triston had prepared a small bonfire in the back as well as a small meal for the ones who could eat and after putting their bags in their rooms, everyone went out back to sit around the fire. Luka lights one of the joints he had rolled on the way to the house and passes it to the left until it reached Valentina.

The princess looks to her left at Bella, "Do you wanna try?" she asks the human girl, holding out the joint in her direction. Bella looks at the joint hesitantly before giving a shy nod and Valentina passes it to her with a big smile, "Alright, so just take a drag, nothing to big. Make sure to inhale, breathe it in...yeah just like that," Bella falls into a coughing fit and everyone around them chuckles.

"Holy shit," Bella says in between coughs.

"Finally growing up, huh, Bella," Emmett pats her back with laugh, teasing the poor girl before handing her the glass of water Luka had passed him.

"It'll feel better in a couple minutes, but if it gets too much, we can go upstairs," Valentina reassures her and Bella nods while trying to keep her breathing in check.

The rotation keeps going and Bella continues to smoke as she eats her late dinner. When she's done, Sunny kindly offers to take it for her but she refuses, smiling and reassuring him that it was fine before getting up to place her dish in the kitchen. 

It'd been a while since Valentina had seen Bella, the girl was an introvert, so she just assumed she wanted some space from everyone, but after an hour passes, Valentina grew a bit worried and told Luka she'll be back. The first place she checks was Bella's room, which she found empty, she walks down the hall to the library and that's where she finally sees her best friend, nose buried in a book.

"Hey, Bells," Valentina greets her softly, taking a seat beside her.

"Val," Bella jumps, slightly startled by her best friend.
