The door to the bedroom bursts open and a singing Luka runs in, "Hey hey mama, said the way you move, gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove!" Luka screams out the lyrics to Black Dog by Led Zeppelin, which is currently blasting, waking Valentina up from her delicious sleep.
"Luka!" She groans and rolls over, placing a pillow over her head to drown out the sound.
"Ah ah child, way you shake that thing, gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting!" Luka jumps onto the bed.
Valentina sits up quickly, "I'm up! Okay, I'm up! Jesus Christ," She grumbles and gets off the bed.
"All love, baby!" He laughs and hops off the bed, "Your breakfast is on the table. Somethin' light since we're having guests over."
"Thanks, Pookie," She kisses his cheek.
"Anything for you, Bug," He kisses her forehead.
Valentina grabs her phone from the nightstand before going to the kitchen. She looks for Bella's name in her contacts then presses the call button, making a mental note to add a photo and some emojis later.
"Hello?" Blair picks up after a couple rings.
"Bella, hey!" Valentina beams.
"Oh, hi, Val!" Blair greets her, "What's up?"
"Good mornin'! I was just callin' to let y'all know y'all can come 'round eleven, that okay?" Valentina asks
"Yeah, that's fine. I'll let them know, text me your address."
"Okay, great! And bring a bathing suit, tell them that too, bye!"
"See you later!"
Valentina was nervous, Luka as well. Even though they'd briefly met the Cullens at school, this was different. They could finally talk and be close with them and build the bond that was already meant to be. After quickly eating her breakfast, which consisted of Nutella toast with strawberries, Valentina checks the time. Her eyes widened at the time, noticing it's 10:45. She quickly washes her plate and begins tidying up the house, making sure it's clean for the guests.
She uses her speed to run to the bedroom and quickly wash herself before sliding on a simple black bikini and a red silk kimono with gorgeous embroidery that she'd gotten whilst in Osaka. Soon enough the doorbell rings and she sprints to the door, "Hi! Welcome!" Valentina greets them with a big grin before stepping aside.
Alice immediately engulfs her in a hug, "Hi! Thank you for having us!"
Valentina chuckles, "It's no problem at all!"
"Val, this is our sister and Alice's girlfriend, Rosalie. Rose, this is Valentina," Edward introduces the two.
"Hello, Rosalie. It's nice to meet you," Valentina gives her a soft smile, noticing that she was a bit closed off. "You can call me Val, if you'd like."
A ghost of a smile is placed on her lips, "It's nice to meet you too."
"I hope Bella told you to bring bathing suits?" Valentina asks and they nod, "Great! Luka and I went hunting for some animal blood yesterday, so if any of you get thirsty, we have that on deck. We know it's not as good as having it fresh, but it's better than nothin'."
"A-Animal blood? Why would we need that?" Emmett stutters lightly, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"Don't be silly, we know what you are," Valentina chuckles. She nudges Luka and their eyes return to their regular silver color, "We aren't exactly human either."
