FORKS, WASHINGTON

Friday couldn't come faster, but thanks to Valentina and Bella, everything was ready and prepped for their early morning flight.

Carlisle puts the last of the luggage into the trunk of the van, "That's everything. Now, I want you kids to be safe. Valentina please keep my children safe," he kisses her head.

"Of course, everything will be fine," Valentina hugs him tightly.

"Take some pictures for us," Esme smiles, almost teary eyed.

"Next time you'll have to come with," Valentina pulls her in for a hug.

"We will," Carlisle smiles.

Everyone piles into the rented van before waving goodbye to Carlisle and Esme and driving away. It was a long drive to the airport, but they got there early nonetheless. Luka drives past all the gates and stops at a security gate.

He rolls down the driver's window, "This is authorized personnel only," the security guard says.

Valentina hands Luka her identification who hands it to the security guard. He goes back into the office to check the list and comes back shortly, "Have a safe trip," he smiles briefly then going back to open the gate. Luka drives up to their private hangar before parking outside.

"Mrs. Chevalier! It's nice to see you again!" The captain greets her when she steps out of the van.

"Captain Williams, it's nice to see you as well," They give each other a side hug before the captain goes to greet Luka. "Alright, somethings about the house. My friend Halia lives there and keeps it in check. She can be a little excitable, but she's harmless as long as you stay on her good side, which, isn't a very hard thing to do."

"This is so exciting!" Alice squeals, "We don't fly very often.

Valentina shakes her head in disappointment, "All the time in the world and y'all waste it going to school."

"It works," Edward mumbles. "It's easier this way."

"Life isn't easy, especially when you're immortal. It's okay to reward yourselves sometimes."

"The damned shouldn't be rewarded," Edward states bitterly.

"And keeping that same mindset is what's going to send you straight hell," Valentina sasses.

"Val!" Alice scolds me while Rose snickers lightly.

"No, Alice! I'm sick of him constantly wallowing in self-pity. Listen, Edward, just because you're a vampire doesn't mean you don't have a soul. Everyone has a soul, dumbass. At this point, a cold-blooded murder has a better chance than you at making it into Paradise. Truthfully, Edward, you're bordering the second ring of the seventh circle and trust me, that's a place you don't want to be."

Valentina steps away from the family in order to take a few deep breaths. She tries to calm herself and not let the anger get the best of her most times, but dealing with people like Edward is quite frustrating.

People like Edward, and unfortunately, Rosalie, were bound to Hell because of the self-hate they have in their hearts. It's quite upsetting really and it sucks that no matter what she said to them, it wouldn't change their outlook on themselves. Had they been like Luka, they wouldn't be having that problem, they could easily act human.
