"Bitch I’m wild, Do the stanky leg,” was all we heard as the limo pulled up to the club. The music was jumpin’ and the line that stretched around the block let us knew that tonight Darien’s club was off the hook. I waited as the limo driver walked over to my door, opened it, and helped me out. I stepped out looking bomb as hell. “You ready ladies?” I asked as I turned back and looked at my cousins.

“Hell yeah,” they said in unison.

I walked forward as my cousins made a bee line and trailed behind me; we walked up to the front of the line. I gave a hug and spoke briefly to the bodyguard at the front door, and then turned to the small crowd of females standing out front with envious eyes.

Tonight was ladies get in free night at Darien’s club so the house was filled with half naked hoes. “We need more dick in here!” my cousin Alana yelled over the music.

We made our way up to the V.I.P room and made ourselves comfortable on the plush cream couches. A few minutes later Kyla appeared with bottles in hand. “Thanks ma,” I told her as she filled our glasses with Merlet.

“This is dope cousin!” Sandra yelled over the music.

Before she could say another word, she was interrupted by a familiar face. “Hey, if it ain’t the queen herself,” he greeted.

I blushed and then greeted him back. “Wassup Carter?”

“Nothin’, ma, long time no see,” he said as he reached down and gave me a hug. “How you been?” he asked.

“I’ve been fine,” I answered with a genuine smile. “Things have been far from fine. ...“ I thought. “You know I had my daughter right?” I questioned.

“Yeah I heard, congrats,” he exclaimed. “How’s my other homie?” he asked.

“He’s still an ass,” I admitted.

“Still conquering the game?” he questioned.

“Our president still black ain’t he?” I joked.

“That’s wassup. Love to see another black man doing good.” He admitted. “You be careful, have fun and I’ll catch you around, I’ll definitely be by to see the baby.” he told me and with that he was off.

“Anyway this is crazy Layla, this club is off the hook, when was you gonna’ let the extended family know yo’ baby daddy was doing it this big?” Alana asked with a deep southern tone.

“Forget that what’s up with you and that fine ass hunk of chocolate that just walked off?” Sandra asked.

I laughed as I shook my head no. “Nothin’ he use to work for Darien,” I informed her. I wanted to dead the assumptions in head before her mouth ran a mile. “This is to the best cousins.” I said as I raised my glass and prepared for a toast.

“The best cousins!” They cheered in unison as our glasses clinked together. After our toast we all walked over to the balcony and looked down upon the party guests.

“Ladies and Gents, I’ve just been informed that we have a very special guest in the building that’s partying with us tonight. You all know her, love her, and envy her, please give it up for Miss Layla Lerenda.” The D.J. announced. The crowd turned toward me just as the light went into my direction. I plastered a smile on my face and waved as they clapped and cheered. I backed away from the balcony and took a seat back on the couch.
