 1:00 p.m.

It had been less than a half an hour after school let out. I had just come downstairs to the kitchen for a grape soda. I grabbed my drink and left out of the kitchen and walked into the living only to start mentally cursing myself out. I watched from the archway of the kitchen as my mother talk to my sister about sex. I quietly tried to sneak towards the stairs, but I guess from the corner of her she saw me and called me over. I huffed and walked over to them. “Hey honey let’s have a talk.” My mother told me as a smile spread across her face.

“I would love to ma, but I gotta’ go.” I lied.

“Just answer this one question for me, and then I’ll let you go.” she told me.

“A’ight,” I agreed. “What is it?” I asked.

“What’cha know ‘bout sex?” she asked.

“A lot,” I answered.

“Oh really?” she questioned. “Like what?”

I huffed, but answered her. I told her everything I knew and where I’d learned it, and how many times I’ve done it. As I was telling her my story I heard my phone ring, but didn’t answer. When I was done and Kodeniˊ began talking I pulled it out and checked it. A smile spread across my face as I read her message. I replied to the text, stood up and slid the phone back into my pocket. I headed for the door and said goodbye to my peeps, and then started towards Moriah’s crib.

As I walked down the street, vivid images of my white girl swirled through my head. We’ve been dating for a little bit over nine months and I can’t lie, I’ve become insane over this chick. Her looks had me hooked, but her mind is what made me smitten; just the thought of her makes my heart skip a beat, and I haven’t felt this way since my previous relationship.

                   That was earlier…

And this is an hour later. . .

And now I found myself sitting on the couch at Moriah’s house waiting for her slow butt to return back from the kitchen. “Girl if you don’t hurry up!” I yelled to her. “I’m tryna watch this movie and I can’t if you don’t bring the popcorn,” I told her.

“Shut up,” she hissed. “Start the movie.” she demanded as she sat the red bowl filled with popcorn down on the coffeeˊ table. Moriah sat back and scooted closer to me on the couch. She rested her head on my chest and focused her attention on the movie. “Can I ask you something?” she questioned, not less than five minutes into the movie

“Sure,” I answered nonchalantly.

Moriah opened her mouth as if she were about to spill out her soul. “Never mind.” she told me.

I huffed. I grabbed the remote and put the movie on pause. I sat the remote down and then turned to her. “Tell me bae.” I demanded sweetly as I touched her chin.

She hesitated for a moment, but began talking. “I mean it’s not really a question, more like a statement…or conversation.” she explained.

I chuckled. “Would you just tell me?” I questioned.

She smiled faintly. “Well I know you not a virgin, and I know you can have any girl you want, and I know I’m not the prettiest, and-“

“Hol’ up,” I interrupted. “Where you going with this?” I questioned. “Where is all this comin’ from?” when she didn’t answer I began talking again. “Baby girl you’re gorgeous and I only have eyes for you.” I assured her. “So what I’m not a virgin, I know you are and I don’t want it from no one but you, boo I can wait.” I told her. “Where you getting’ this shit from?” I questioned. “Is it from my twin?”
