Short Stories!! (PeteKao/Taynew ) (COMPLETED ✔)

I'M SORRY!! PART 2

It's been almost a month now and Pete could see that New is actually a really capable person. He's having a hard time coping up with him, because, first, New is extremely good in calculations, surpassing Pete in that. Second, he's a really good person that Pete found it really hard not to notice it. And third, his face is beautiful, yet his body radiated sexiness which made Pete zone out almost all the time.

He keeps reminding himself not to switch on his flirt mode because if Kao comes to know about it, he would definitely be kicked out of the house. Because, Kao doesn't like flirts, and more over, a cheater, and Pete had already shown so much of his colours before that if Kao finds out now that he'd been eying his own co-worker like a predator... Pete doesn't want to think about the consequences anymore.

So, he had decided not to think about all these thoughts and just focused on his works.

Everything was going well, until one day, Pete and New were called to the boss's chamber.

"Pete, New, I guess you two know that your works are still pending and tomorrow's the deadline. If you don't finish it by tonight, you'll be in a big trouble" the elder male informed.

Pete and New gulped. They looked at eachother almost quietly, sweats forming on their foreheads.

"I hope you two will finish it anyhow by tonight. Even if that means you have to stay back in the office" the boss concluded and stood up from his chair. "I'm counting on both of you, good luck" he patted their shoulders and asked them to leave.

By the time Pete and New walked out of the boss's chamber, they had twelfth hour look on their faces. Pete's face looked so dark that if anyone wanted a black paint, they could smear it out of Pete's face, while New just blew out an exhausted sigh.

"So, both of us gonna be stuck in the office until late huh?" New sighed.

"I guess. Can't help it. We need to finish our work" Pete sighed as well.

Their works were seriously overloaded and they needed to finish it by tonight anyhow since the deadline was tomorrow. They couldn't slack off.

~~~~8.30 pm, in the office~~~

It was already 8.30 pm and all the other employees of the company, including the boss, had left. Only Pete and New were left in the building along with security guards and watchmen, but they were all outside.

They needed to finish their work as soon as possible as companies reputation were on their shoulders now and they wouldn't jeopardise it.

By the time the two boys finished half of their works, it was already 12 am. So, they decided to take break and went to the buildings roof top to get some fresh air, and by that time, Pete had decided to call Kao as Well, who must be sleeping by now while wating for him to come home.

Once they reached the roof, Pete and New sat down side by side, beer cans and eatables in between, separating them.

This past one month, it wouldn't be weird to say now that both, Pete and New have grown closer towards eachother. They have became good friends. Pete admired New for his hard work and charming personality, while New admired Pete for his strong and bold personality. They were total opposites of eachother, just like how Pete and Kao were.

Pete was puffing out smokes while New was chugging down the beers. Both of them were watching the dark sky filled with clusters of stars. They looked stunning.

"I guess you must be surprised, instead of a girlfriend, I have a boyfriend, right?" Pete suddenly asked, turning to look at New, who was still looking at the twinkling stars, shining far off in the galaxy. It wasn't a secret in the office that Pete was into guys. Everyone knew that he was living together with his boyfriend.

New didn't answer. He chugged down the last content of the beer and placed the empty can on the floor. "Not much" he then replied, without looking at Pete. Pete was looking at New and he was really surprised to see that New's side face almost looked like Kao's.

And suddenly, Pete's heart skipped a beat.

Why this guy almost looked like Kao? Pete kept staring at New's side face. Was it because of the alcohol that he was seeing things like that?

New was clueless that Pete's face was now almost inching towards him, but then, his phone started ringing.

Pete moved away almost immediately when he realised what he was about to do. His eyes widened when New turned to look at him with his confused expression, but because New's phone kept ringing, he couldn't ask Pete what was wrong.

Pete kept staring at New. What the hell was he trying to do? He looked shocked. If that phone hadn't rung, he might have....

Sweats started dripping from Pete's forehead and he could hear New talking to someone with his low voice. Pete then remembered that he needed to call Kao as well so that he could tell him that he'd be coming home late since they still have more works to do.

Pete dialled Kao's number and the ring went on for few seconds before it got connected.

"Hey, are you sleeping?" Pete asked softly and smiled when Kao's sleepy voice answered him No. "Kao, just go to bed ok. No need to wait for me, I'll be back by morning only, so, you just sleep, Alright? I'll see you soon" he smiled when Kao whined him through the phone. "Just go to bed, I love you".

As soon as Pete disconnected the call, he could hear New shouting. He immediately turned towards the other and saw New slamming his phone on his leg and growled 'shit'. Pete tried to ask what was wrong, but stopped, when he saw the expression on New's face...

New looked like he's about to cry and that somehow made Pete's chest tightened. The way his co-worker looked right now, it made him want to hug him tight and comfort him.

And unconsciously, Pete grabbed New's arm, earning a confused look from the other, and then...

He kissed him.

New's eyes went wide and he almost stopped breathing. Maybe it was just an impulse or the booze that they might have taken, was clogging their brains, and so, because of that, this must be happening.

Unconsciously, New also wrapped his hands around Pete's neck and both of them kept kissing under the dark sky, only lights from nearby buildings were lighting up the surroundings.

And Pete's phone kept ringing and ringing, and finally, it stopped.

Note: I know some of you might not be able to picture Petekao and Taynew as different people (since, they are basically the same people lol) but I wanted to write something different and mashed up. So.... Just bear with it, ok? 😅😅
