I'm Always Here!! (Petekao Two shots)

Pete could see that Kao somehow started to distance himself and he became quite. He looked like as if he was thinking about something really hard and it confused him, because, Kao never hid anything from him. Whatever the matter be, Kao would always tell Pete and discuss about it with him. But, from some few days, Pete noticed that something has changed and he didn't understand what.

After finishing their lunches, Sandee and Thada excused themselves from the group, telling them that they had some urgent matters to attend, which was an utter lie. No one attends their urgent matter by winking at eachother as a signal.

Everyone knew what those two were up to, but they just pretended that they didn't noticed it. June also excused himself by saying that he's gonna go look for his soulmates, since everyone was in relationship, he needed one as well, leaving only Kao and Pete on the table.

Pete shook his head and smiled after their dramatic friends left and then looked at Kao who was sitting quietly with a blank expression.

Pete sighed.

"Kao..." He called softly, but Kao was so lost in his thoughts that didn't hear Pete calling him, so the other called bit loudly, making Kao to jerk out of his thoughts and look at Pete blankly.

"Huh?".

"Are you ok?" Pete asked worriedly, seeing Kao not being his own self. He looked lost.

Kao just nodded as an answer, but Pete wasn't convinced, so he stood up from his seat and went towards Kao and sat beside him. "Hey, why do you look so zoned out? Is anything that's bothering you? Just tell me and I'll try to solve it for you" he said, while gripping Kao's hand gently.

Kao didn't reply back. He just sat quietly. Pete was waiting for him to answer, but Kao didn't say anything.

And when Kao spoke, he just said "Pete, please take me home. I want to go home".

Pete nodded and stood up, Kao followed behind him.

After driving for few minutes, finally Kao's house was on the sight. Pete stopped the car and looked at Kao who was removing his seat belts. 

"Kao..." Pete called and Kao looked at him silently. "Please call me later. I'll be waiting for you" he said and leaned forward to kiss Kao's forehead.

Kao closed his eyes and once he felt Pete moving back, he opened his eyes gently and saw Pete leaning back on his seat and was smiling at him.

Kao smiled back and opened the cars door and stepped out. Before he could leave, he turned around once again to look at Pete and smiled at him. Pete did the same.

And then, Pete left.

After reaching his house, Pete slumped himself down on the bed and closed his eyes. His mind immediately  pictured Kao's blank face and his eyes opened. Pete still couldn't understand what suddenly happened to Kao. He looked so distant from the past few days and he was silent all the time.

Kao was never like this before. Pete couldn't help thinking about it and he didn't realise that he was lying on the bed just like that for almost an hour. It was when, his cellphone started ringing, he jerked out of his trance and received the call without looking at the caller's name.

Suddenly, Pete could here some lady's voice talking to him and she sounded  panicked. Pete couldn't process it, but when he heard Kao's name from the others voice, he immediately checked the name on his cellphone screen and saw it was Kao's mom.

"Mae, what's wrong? Why do you sound so panicked?" Pete asked, looking worried.

"He's not opening his door Pete. I'm so scared. I'm afraid he doesn't do anything" Kao's mother informed.

Pete's ears perked up hearing that and his heartbeat fastened. The only thing that came into his mind was, 'Kao, Is he ok?'

"Mae mae, please calm down, I'm coming there right now, so, don't panic ok? I'm coming there right now" Pete said and disconnected the call. He then grabbed his wallet, car keys and dashed out of the room.

While driving, Pete kept thinking what was going on. Kao was just fine when he dropped him home before. Something looked off and Pete drove even faster and finally reached Kao's house.

He switched off the cars ignition and hurriedly stepped out of the vehicle and dashed towards Kao's house. Once he reached, he kept ringing the doorbell impatiently and finally, the door opened.

Kao's mother was crying mess and Pete hugged her gently. "Where's he mae?" He asked, after pulling away from the hug.

"In his room. I'm really scared. I hope he doesn't do anything wrong" The lady said and wiped her tears.

Pete wanted to ask so many questions because he was so confused, but he didn't have time and dashed towards Kao's bedroom. The door was locked from inside.

"Kao, open the door" Pete said as he kept knocking, but no one answered. "Hey, can you hear me? Please open the door, Baby" he kept saying, but still, no one answered.

Kao's mother also helped Pete by calling for Kao, but Kao still didn't responded back.

Pete looked worried and he started knocking even more rashly. "Hey Kao, open the door. It's me, Pete. Talk to me baby" he pleaded, but Kao  didn't answer back.

Pete was about to say something, but then, he heard screaming from inside and things breaking. Pete and Kao's mother looked alarmed hearing that, and with no other option, they had to break down the door, because Kao wasn't opening it.

"P... pete.... " Kao's mother trembled as Pete held her hand and squeezed it gently.

"I'll do something Mae, don't worry" he assured and lined himself infront of the door and started hitting it with his shoulder.

After few minutes of struggle, Pete finally broke open the door and both him and Kao's mother went inside, only to find their eyes go wide in horror....
