"w-what happened?!" i frantically screamed. the scene before our eyes was so grotesque we had to leave the spot for a while.

"we just found her there!" chenle covered his face with his hands, and jisung looked so disturbed at the sight we witnessed. who wouldn't?!

inside the storage room was mrs. kim's dead body. her stomach was split open, making her intestines visible for our innocent eyes to see, a knife penetrated her right eye socket, and her fingers were so broken that we could see the bones stick out in every angle. the pungent smell of her blood didn't help the situation.

"i'm not going to look at that again" i mumbled weakly.

could i have been right? did wonyoung really go on a rampage because she couldn't handle her mother anymore?! is she the one who did all of this?! where is she, anyways?! i groaned in frustration.

"can one of you call the police?" i asked them, they still looked traumatized. i feel sorry for them, they are too young and they already witnessed something as gruesome as that.

"if we call the police then, won't we get suspected for killing her?" jisung asked. right. plus we'd be breaking and entering someone's house, i could get arrested.

"uuhh.. just do it, it's the right thing to do" i got up from the torn sofa.

"where are you going, noona?" chenle asked and got up from the sofa too, followed by jisung who already had his phone beside his ear.

"wonyoung's bound to be inside this house. you two can wait outside for the police to arrive.. you've been through a lot and i don't want to burden you two anymore. you should rest"

"but--" chenle protested. i cut him off.

"no buts. noona knows best" i guided them out the door and they sat down on the small staircase in front of the doorway.

"just scream if you need us" chenle added.

"mhmm, i will" i turned to my heels and went upstairs again. we didn't bother to close the door, so i can escape easily if something bad would happen.

i entered the second room in the hallway, mentally prepared for anything that would greet me.
