Chapter 19: Sniper test!

Inkopolis Center, PoV(Kurt)

I was standing by here at The Salty Dog's Arcade, waiting for Fernando, Cember, and Kent. Jaycee couldn't come today, cause Ally came by to cafe and asked him to make a few adjustments to her Mini- Dynamo, before her next match. I played a few videogames just to kill my time. My phone rang and  I was Fernando calling! I got his number from yesterday, by the way...

Kurt: Hello, Fernando! Where are you?

Fernando: We are here at the tower, waiting for you!

Kurt: What do you mean, we? (Cember shouted at the phone)

Cember: Hey!!! Kurt!! (She shouted at the phone)

Kurt: <That hurt!...> Oh, it's you... (Cember laughed) I'll be right there Fernando! (He goes outside and headed straight for the tower.) (He saw the three of his friends) Hey guys!!

Fernando: Ola, Kurt! Ready for your test? (Kent and Cember waed)

Kurt: You bet I am!

Fernando: Great! The test will be held at Pearl Farm! Another sniper's heaven!

Kurt: <I heard of Pearl Farm before... It has 2 wooden towers from each side, perfect for any sniping activity!> 

Cember: (She giggled a bit) Pearl Farm...

Kurt: Yes, Cember! We get it! Plus Pearl farm isn't owned by Pearl.

Cember: Yeah, I know! The name always reminds me of Mc Princess, from Inkopolis Square!

Fernando: Come on guys, we haven't got all day!

Kurt & Cember: Right!

Later at Pearl Farm, PoV(Kurt)

I spawned at the left bottom of the map. Fernando spawned at the opposite side. The pressure is on! I must beat Fernando and prove to him that I can handle this... Jaycee's words, from yesterday, lingered in my head...

Jaycee Words: You know, Kurt! I admire that you improved and I can't wait to see you fight Fernando! A sniper vs sniper battle! But remember this... Do not let Arrogance control you in your match, for it is your opponent's friend and it shall be your downfall!...

Kurt: Thanks, Jaycee...

Cember: 3!... 2!... 1!... Get Splat!!!

I set the M.S.G to Splattershot Jr and we're off! I inked my way to the tower that is close to the spawn point. The Towers in Pearl Farm are 3 stories high, not as high as Moray towers though... Anyways! I Inked the wooden pole and headed for the 2nd floor. I set the M.S.G. to Splatterscope, then looked through the scope... I saw purple ink rushing to me, I quickly dodge! Just then I saw a shine from the other side of the tower. It was Fernando and he found me! I look through my scope again and shot some ink at him! The fight was messy and hard, It was a waiting game... Seeing whose gonna mess up at dodging from inkoming Ink... I looked through my scope and Fernando was about to fire his special!

Fernando: Ink Tridon!!! (An Ink shot shaped like a Tridon was heading for Kurt)

Kurt: <Got to get to the 3rd floor!> (He rushed to the wooden pole and quickly inked the pole. The Tridon was getting closer!) 

KA-SPLASH!!

Cember: Kurt!!! 

Fernando: Heh... Target down!... (A bolt of Blue Ink barely misses him) (!!!) (He saw a shine on top of the 3rd floor) You sneaky Devil!... (He smiled and aimed for him)

Kurt: Time for my Special! (He brought out his launchers) Tentacle Missiles!!! (Missile fired!!!)

Fernando: (He saw the barrage coming at him!) Not good... (Quickly ran to the wooden pole and ink his way up. He reached to the top only be to greeted by Kurt's Ink) Urgh!...

Kurt: Yes! A hit! (He noticed Fernando isn't Splatted) Wait, what?!

Fernando: (Hidding behind the pole) I'm... not... finish... yet! (He went back in front and took aim)

Dang! Fernando is really hard to splat! Another shot took place. Just then  Fernando shot another Ink Tridon and was heading for me! I just came up with the craziest Idea ever! I took out my Special and launched all the missiles towards the Ink Tridon!

Cember & Fernando: What is he doing?!

I saw the Missles going for the direction where Fernando was located, and the missiles were heading toward for the Tridon! The 2 special crashed and created a mix colored explosion! I was amazed to see it, but I quickly took aim and fired a shot blindly!

Fernando: Whoa!... (He so amazed he didn't notice the Ink shot coming towards him!) (Splat!!)

Cember: Yes! Fernando got Splatted, Kurt won!

I saw Fernando respawning back and he signaled me to meet him in the middle of the map.

Fernando: Well, Kurt... You got me! I haven't experienced this kind of match in my life! You surprise me today! That move in countering my special?... Totally crazy!

Kurt: (He smiled and laughed a bit) Thanks! You're good too and very tough to Splat! You're Ink Tridon is almost impossible to escape! Can you teach me the Ink Tridon?!

Fernando: You sure?... It's going to be hard to learn this.

Kurt: I don't mind! At least I know another special from one of my friends!

Fernando: Heh! I'll teach you to use the Ink Tridon, once the GTWT is over! I promise! ( They shook hands. Just then Cember and Kent arrived)

Cember: That! Was! Amazing! Countering the Ink Tridon with your special?! A Crazy fun plan, I say!

Kurt: Cember! Fernando is gonna teach me how to use the Ink Tridon!

Cember: Really? Can you teach me as well?! (She got closed to Fernando)

Fernando: Whoa! Ok! Ok! I'll teach both of you when the GTWT is over!

Cember: Yahoo! (Kent tug at Cember's shirt) Yes, Kent? (He whispered at her ear) Oh, Ok! Guys me and Kent are going to pick up his new Slosher at Ammo knights! C'ya guys later! (Kent and Cember went back to the Center)

Kurt: So... Wanna head for Aeon's wings?

Fernando: Sorry! But I have to go home! I need a break from this Truf war for a while!

Kurt: Oh... Guess I'll be the only one heading to the cafe then...

Inkopolis Center, PoV (Cember)

We finally got Kent's new Slosher! It was fresh and very expensive. Turns out, Kent's been saving a lot of coins just to get this model!

Sheldon: Yes, Indeed! It's the Tri-Slosher! A very popular choice for Sloshers, like him! (Kent paid his weapon) Much obliged to you younglings!

Cember: Thanks, Sheldon! 

We went out of Ammo knights and headed our way back at Cephallo street. Along the way I took a good look at Kent's new Slosher! It was way better than his old one! Kent only watched me with just a faint smile.  I can't wait for Kent to show this to Jaycee!

The train had stopped to our destination and we hopped off. A few Kilometers away from the station. I began to notice that 3 Inklings and 1 Octoling were following us. It was kinda creepy though. I told Kent to pick up the pace to hurry back to the cafe! The 4 strangers manage to catch up and 2 of them blocked us!

Cember: Um... Excuse us?! We are trying to get to somewhere!

???: Sorry for our rudeness! But May I have a little bit of your time? (Cember and Kent were confused)
