Chapter 33: Meeting an Old friend...

Aeon's wings cafe, PoV(Jaycee)

After the match from yesterday, The Splat Devils are having one final practice at the back of the cafe, before tomorrow's match. This time Ally came by, cause she was curious about the Spalt Devil practices. I sense that Kurt had a little rush inside of him, Cember also noticed, too. Cember looked at me and gave a smirk, signifying that she wants to do something to Kurt and Ally.

Jaycee: No!!! Don't you dare!...

Cember: Aw, come on Jaycee!... Let's have a little fun with them?!

Jaycee: If it fails, you're just gonna blame it on me! So, NO!!

Cember: Hmph!...Fun spoiler...

What?! She gave the blame on me when we're at Wahoo World! I'm not gonna do that again! Anyways, Neo came rushing from the Cafe calling me. He looked serious and was panicking a bit.

Neo: K-Kuya!... There's someone waiting for you...

Jaycee: (???) And whose this person?

Neo: He claims that he's one of your old friends!... (The whole team heard what Neo said!)

Jaycee: (!!!) <Please, it is not Ryan!...> Is it, Ryan?...

Neo: No, someone else!...

I quickly rush back into the cafe! I look around and see Noli, sitting on one of the chairs at the counter. I slowly approach him... When I look at his face he was depressed and bruised. I was shocked to see what he was!

Jaycee: What happened to you?! Who did this?!...

Noli: Ryan... Yesterday he called Francis and the team... 

Flashback

Ryan: Francis!... I've been watching you and your team's performance in the GTWT...

Francis: Yeah... We kinda lost...

Ryan: (He chuckled abit) Yes, Yes! Do you know how I feel about you right now?

Francis: You feel bad for us?...

Ryan: No... I feel... Embarrassed of you and your pathetic team!!! (He yelled) You and your team gave the most embarrassing and pathetic results I ever saw! 0 wins and 2 loses?! Unbelievable! (Both girl members started crying) If I lead your team, they would have become champions!

Noli: Hey! Don't you dare lecture him like that, Ryan! We didn't have time to practice that's All!

Ryan: You stay out of this Noli! May I remind you!... That you too quited the team, like Jaycee!... So you stay out of this!! (He slapped Noli's face and Noli fell down) (Loii and the members of Apex squad were shocked, but were too afraid to talk)

Francis: Noli!! (He came rushing to his friend and he was covered by shadow.) (He felt fear, sadness and a bit of anger...)

Ryan: You failed me, Francis! I can't believe we're even family! Pathetic! Weak! Get out of my sights!...(Francis cried out of the room)

Loii: Don't you think you were a little too rough with him?

Ryan: NO!... I need all my rage and hate for the final confrontation with... Jaycee...

Noli: ( His sight was blurry...)...Francis... (He blacked out)

Present

Noli: So, that's it!... I ended up back in my apartment. The girls struggled to take me back to my apartment.

Jaycee: I have enough of Ryan... He has now gone too far!!! (He stormed out of the cafe)

Kurt: (Kurt came in and saw Jaycee was angry) Jaycee, what happened? (Jaycee passed) And where are you going?!

I didn't answer Kurt cause I wasn't in the mood. I headed for Cephallo station and boarded a train that leads to the Center. On my way, I pulled out my phone and opened my contacts. I scrolled down until I found Ryan's name and started to call him... If you're wondering why I kept Ryan's number? It's because I just wanted to remember the old messages that me and Ryan always sent to each other before he became to what he is today...

Ryan: Hello?!...

Jaycee: Ryan... Meet me at Tempest tower! Now!!

Ryan: Oh?!... Do you want to surrender and admit that you betrayed us 2 years ago?

Jaycee: No... Something else...

Tempest Tower, Inkopolis Center, PoV(Jaycee)

I arrived at the station, hopped off the train and headed for Tempest tower. When I got to Tempest Tower, Ryan and Loii were already there! I furiously marched towards Ryan and began to shout his name.

Jaycee: RYAN!!!

Ryan: Well, well!... If it isn't the traitor who abandon--

Jaycee: You shut your mouth!! I've heard and seen everything, what you did! (Soon Inklings, Octoling and Inktolings gathered around us)

Ryan: (He laughed) I guessed you finally noticed, In what I had done? You finally see that I became a Champion without you?!

Jaycee: No!!! You cause the suffering of other lives!! First, you influenced my brother! Second, you broke my teammate's will to fight! Third, you threatened my family with this stupid bargain of yours! And Lastly... You physically hurt Noli, even though he was trying to put some sense into you!!

Ryan: (He scoffed) I only did those things because you gave me... and Loii 2 years of suffering and humiliation!!! I only wanted to see you suffer, like us!!

Jaycee: Ryan!... I challenge you!... To a Painter's Duel!... Just you... and Me...

Ryan: (He smiled evilly, but Loii watched in horror) I've been waiting for this!... What're the rules?

Jaycee: Tomorrow! At our final match!... Black Belly Skate park!... Whoever manages to Splat their foe 3 times?! He shall be the Victor of the Duel...

Ryan: Challenge!... Accepted!... ( He watched Jaycee turned around, heading back for the station. The flocking crowd made a path for Jaycee, then they looked back Ryan and Loii)

Loii: Ryan?... What have you done?...

Ryan: Getting our Justice that we deserved for the past 2 years!...

Back at the Cafe, PoV(Kurt)

Cember comforted Noli as we waited for Jaycee's return. Kent was just sitting, covering his head with his hoodie. I looked at Ally, she gave me a concerned looked. She gently hugged me, showing that she was scared of what's going to happen to Jaycee. I blushed a bit, but I was scared too.

Suddenly Jaycee burst through the cafe's doors. Kent and Cember saw him, got up and rushed to Jaycee! They both hugged him in relief.

Cember: (Hugging tightly) Jaycee, where have you been?

Kent: (Kent hugged tightly too) We were worried about you!

Jaycee: It's ok, guys! I just made another deal... with Ryan...

Everyone: What?!!

Jaycee: I've challenged him to a... Painter's Duel! Get 3 splats on your opponent to win... 

Kurt: You challenged him to a Painter Duel?...

Jaycee: Yes!... Now, If you excuse me? I'm going to get another old Friend... (Jaycee went behind the Kitchen door) (Cember and Kent didn't understand, but Ally and Kurt know)

Cember: What does he mean another old friend?... (She asked Ally)

Ally: He means, his getting his weapon...

Kurt: A weapon the made him a legend...

The Garage/ Jaycee's secret workshop, PoV(Jaycee)

I opened the garage door and turned on the lights. I looked at the locker, where my Kraken brush was placed. I slowly approached it... The sense of regrets and anger was filling me... I slowly opened the Locker and There it was... my Old Kraken brush... I gaze on it, rethinking all the memories...

Jaycee: It is time for you...To be unleash again...
